UređivačNapisao Carlos|Stu. 18, 2020 u City Guide (Ibiza)

Ibiza is an island known for its electronic music scene and wild nightlife. But with all that partying going on, its easy to miss out on all of the beautiful views that Ibiza has to offer. Renting a motorcycle gives you the freedom to explore every inch of the island on your own time and gain access to places that a tourist on foot might not have time to get to. But it’s not just about the destination. Traversing the twists and turns of the cliffside roads of Ibiza is in itself fully worth the experience. But when you finally get to the summit just before sunset, make sure you hop off your bike and soak up all the natural beauty that this Mediterranean island has to offer. But do take caution when driving a motorcycle around Ibiza, the salt and sand from the ocean can make the roads extra slippery. Not to mention with all the partying going on in Ibiza, there’s bound to be a couple drivers on the road who aren’t exactly sober. But if you’re careful, there’s no way you won’t have an amazing time driving around the roads of Ibiza on a rented motorbike. But to make sure that you hit all the best spots in Ibiza on your journey, here are the 7 places you should go by motorcycle in Ibiza:

Sa Caleta

Sa Caleta in Ibiza

This cove on the southwest seaboard of Ibiza is one of the most interesting beaches you’ll ever see. It’s crystal-clear blue waters are surrounded on three sides by some breathtaking red rock walls. You can drive your motorcycle right up to the edge of these cliffs and take in the view of the ocean, and then descend to spend some time on the pristine white sands. If you fancy some food while you’re there, Restaurante Sa Caleta offers an incredible selection of seafood that you can enjoy just a few steps away from the beach.

Es Cubells

This tiny little village on the southern coast of Ibiza offers some of the best views on the island, and a nice breath of fresh air from the techno parties. You can walk around this quaint little coastal town in a matter of minutes, all the while soaking up the ocean breeze and getting glimpses of the incredible views from the Ibizan coast. If you want to hop off your motorcycle for a minute, there’s a beautiful church in Es Cubells as well as some footpaths that wind down the cliffs bringing you closer to the sea.

San Jose

The town of San Jose is inland and far more developed than Es Cubells, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t worth a visit if you’re traversing the island on your motorcycle. Located in the south of Ibiza, this is about the only place on the island where there are actually more locals than tourists. So if you need a break from all that craziness on the coasts, San Jose is the place to go. You can get traditional Ibicenco food at relatively cheap prices, check out the beautiful church of Sant Josep de Talaia, and interact with the local people (who are generally very friendly). Plus, you can say you went to the high point in Ibiza!

Cala d’Hort

If you’re interested in a nice spot to see the sunset, there are few better places in the world than Cala d’Hort on Ibiza’s western seaboard. This beach features beautiful turquoise-blue waters surrounded by sloping white sand dunes. Off in the distance you can see two small uninhabited islands that add an interesting touch to this sunset view. When you get the pinks and oranges of the sun at dusk falling over the sky at Cala d’Hort, it makes for a truly inspiring sight.

Portinatx

Great beach in Ibiza

If you don’t want to stray too far from the nightlife but still want to experience a peaceful sunset view, hop on your motorcycle and drive up to Portinatx. The beach there is a fairly popular one; however, there is a cliff on the side of the beach that you can climb for some solitude and a spectacular view. Plus, if you want to grab some food and a beer after the sun falls, check out Vincent’s Bar Portinatx, which sits right by the beach and offers great food, beer, and overall atmosphere.

Cala Llentia

Nestled in between the beaches of Cala Tarida and Cala Codolar, this tiny cove is a hidden gem. It’s certainly not easy to find, but when you get there, you’re gonna be pleased with what you find. The best way to get there is to leave your motorcycle at Cala Codolar and walk along the beach. You’ll know you’re at Cala Llentia when you come across a series of statues that look like a miniature Stonehenge. This art installation was created by Australian artist Andrew Rogers, and sits just above an interesting little cove where you can jump right in for a swim. This spot is almost never crowded with tourists, and it’ll feel like your own little slice of paradise.

Cape Negret

If you plan on exploring Ibiza whether by tour bus, on foot, or on a motorcycle, Cape Negret is a must-see viewpoint. With an incredible vista that looks out over the coastline, this spot is frequented by tourists. But even if you have to deal with some crowds, this spot is definitely worth going to. It sits just outside of Sant Antoni and is easily accessible by motorcycle.

If you’re interested in where you should go to rent a motorbike, a Yamaha XMAX 125, for just 35 euros per day. Or, you can go with some more serious machinery like a BMW K75 Cafe Racer or a Kawasaki KZ 550 if you’re willing to shell out a bit more money. Riderly understands your passion for motorcycles and will do all they can to make sure you have an unforgettable riding experience in Ibiza.

Beyond the massive nightclubs and next-level party scene, Ibiza has a ton to offer in the way of natural beauty. And renting a motorcycle is probably the best way to experience it.
