I rented a great scooter liberty 125 that took me around the bays and surroundings of Himare for 10 days. Sandro and Sonia are reliable and kind, happy to give advice. This allowed me to avoid renting a car at the airport of Tirana, where a minibus takes you to the bus station that leaves from there for every destination (for Himara the Riviera tour). Hurray for holidays on two wheels!

5/5 no doubt. Great scooters that can carry 2 passengers easily through the steep roads. Great pricing and owners are such great people. They gave us directions to at least 10 different beaches. If you’re looking to rent a scooter this is the place.

Very good experience for a scooter rental in Himare. The couple of managers are adorable, they are very accommodating and they also have good advice! The scooters are of good quality and well maintained (which is not necessarily the case for all the scooters we have had in Albania). I highly recommend!

We hired a scooter to explore the coast around Himare, such a beautiful place and the best beaches are a bit of a drive out of town so you definitely need a scooter. It was very easy and fairly priced. Definitely recommend 🤗

The whole process was very simple and 20 Euros per day for a scooter is very fair. My scooter was in a good condition, you bring it back with the same amount of tank that you picked it up with. You can keep the scooter exactly 24h, deposit is a document/ID. I would recommend it to anyone. The owners were also I credibly kind and transparent, also giving good reccomendations around Himarë :-)

Would definitely recommend renting a scooter here. The owner is super friendly and will give great tips for places to visit. Both the rental and return process were very easy and the scooters are all in good condition, some are practically brand new. 2500 ALL for 24hrs. A regular drivers license was enough and leave a piece of ID as a deposit.

TLDR: Sandro runs a friendly and honest business and I fully recommend Rent Scooter Himare. The price was 25€ / 2500Lek for a 24 hour rental which we thought was very reasonable. We had the most basic scooter and it worked very well and came with a full tank and it was expected that we filled it up before we returned it. I left my driver’s license as a deposit and Sandro filled out a form with all the terms and conditions listed which I signed and he gave me a trace copy of it so we knew what was going on. He also said that I could take a video of the scooter to put me at ease that he wasn’t going to scam us about any broken parts that may later become apparent.

I rented a 125 cc scooter for one day for €25. It worked very well and the owners were very friendly and gave me recommendations for beaches and restaurants. I also appreciated that the tank was full so I didn’t have to worry about getting petrol. Highly recommend if you’re staying in Himarë!

Best place to rent a scooter in himare. Scooters are in a good condition, 20€ a day, for the next day 15€. The owner is very friendly, he showed us some places to go with the scooter. We even had a little accident around 7 pm in Himare, we texted the owner via what's app, he came and sorted everything out for us, saved us big time! Clear recommendation!

I rented a scooter at this place and it was a good experience! They have different types of scooters and you can pick the one you like. I have chose an automatic scooter (piaggio). I also got some tips for places southwards and northwards that I could visit. The price of the scooter is very reasonable and the people working at the shop are very friendly. Please keep in mind that you need to have some experience for driving a scooter (how to handle the vehicle) since some parts of the roads are not the best quality and there are some hills, but the drivers on the road gives you enough space.

I found the couple running the scooter rental to be very competent, friendly and helpful. The Piaggio Liberty scooter and helmet I rented for a day worked very well even up hills and I was able to visit some beaches from Borsch to Drymades. Since I rented the scooter rom 18:00 of one day to 18:00 of the next day, I chose the evening to go south and the next day to go north. I enjoyed it very much although I had little or no experience with scooters before. I used just under 4 l unleaded fuel. Avoid some potholes but especially those or any area with newly filled gravel for your own safety and only cross the town Vuno at a very, very slow speed because it has a cobbled street. We rented a 125cc scooter twice. No problem even if they are not necessarily in perfect condition. They do what is expected of them, that is to say allow you to ride. Affordable price, 25 euros for 24 hours. Range 30km. Person who receives us very smiling and good advice. Do not hesitate. Thank you.

Price is fair, and scooters are capable of handling the surrounding areas. Renting a scooter lets you see some surrounding beaches and places of interest that would be difficult for backpackers to reach by bus/walking.

Possibly my favourite day in Albania, went to a tonne of little beaches (they have some great recommendations), up into the towns in the mountains, incredible views and great fun on those windy roads. If you’re on the fence about renting one, I would thoroughly recommend. They also told me to take pictures of the scooter before starting, so you can tell they don’t have any bad intentions. I was unlucky to have my scooter breakdown right at the end of the day (rare but happens I guess), they came super quick and gave me a new one, no questions asked.

We decided to take a scooter even though we had a car and deciding to take it from Sandro and his wife was the best choice we could have made. Great rental service! The motorbike worked perfectly and Sonila was very helpful. She told us which beaches to go, how far insurance covered us for, and answered all of our questions. Rental costs 2,000 LEK for one day with helmets!
