5 shooting stars. 10/10. Highly recommend. My friend and I both rented motorcycles for 8 days and we were impressed with the service and support we received. The motorbikes were in great condition, and we were provided with everything we could need (tools/ mini air compressor... thankfully we did not need them, but it felt good to be so prepared). We were not riding with any men, and felt safe and comfortable. The rental shop staff were super attentive and responsive to any questions and offered suggestions for our route. I would like to extend a special thanks to the staff members who helped us. One staff member gave my friend his own boot rain covers for our journey. Another was so helpful upon our return - he went above and beyond, coordinating a laundry spot to wash our clothes, helping us bring our luggage to our nearby Airbnb and sharing his past motorcycle adventures, giving us inspiration for future trips! Rented an enduro motorbike from the rental shop and it was a great experience. Bike was in top condition, the process was straightforward, and the team knew their stuff. Riding enduro here is an experience in itself - unreal terrain and scenery. Highly recommend if you're after a proper enduro ride in Ecuador. Will definitely use them again!

We had a great experience with the rental shop. We rented two adventure motorbikes for a self guided tour of 13 days through the Andes en Amazone. We had very good contact before our trip to make a personal route. The motorbikes were very modern and equipped with a lot of technology. The day before departure we had an off-road clinic on a dirt track, because we only had onroad biking experience. This was very good organised and very useful for our trip on the big motorbikes. We had a beautiful journey in a very special nation with friendly people and amazing nature.

My husband and I went on an Enduro adventure with the rental shop, and it was such a great experience from start to finish. We were picked up right on time from our hotel in the city and brought to their base. Once there, we could change and got fully equipped - helmet, gloves, boots, protectors, everything we needed. We were riding KTM and Husqvarna Enduro motorbikes. The team made sure we both felt comfortable, even though we ride at different skill levels. My husband is more experienced, so the guides split the group. He could take some of the rocky and more technical trails, while I followed easier routes, and then we met again to continue together. We were out with three guides, all super friendly, patient, and professional. They really cared about safety but still made sure we had fun. We rode up into the mountains, enjoyed stunning views from the top, and then took some great trails back down. We even stopped for food together, which made the whole day feel very personal and relaxed. At one point, my husband also got to ride on a small motocross track, which he really enjoyed. For me, it was the perfect mix of adventure, nature, and feeling safe. If you want to explore Ecuador in a unique way and ride with people who truly know what they're doing, I can absolutely recommend the rental shop.

I rented a KTM 390 for two weeks and my route touched every major biome in Ecuador. This trip was, hands down, one of the best experiences of my entire life. The natural beauty was mind-blowing, the people were super friendly and outgoing, the hiking was incredible (and challenging), the food was amazing, the activities were fun, I could go on... If you don't have Ecuador on your list of countries to visit, and/or you are planning on exploring the country with anything but a motorcycle, you are seriously missing out. As for the rental shop, 5 stars is simply not enough. I have never in my life, anywhere else in the world, experienced such high quality customer service. The motorbike was in great condition (0 mechanical issues during my trip, which was 60% off-road) and included everything I needed and then some. They clearly know the area inside and out, have a robust network of contacts throughout the country, and the route they created for me included incredible riding and reflected a deep knowledge of the local terrain. Every time I had a question, needed help, or had a change of plans, they didn't just respond quickly, but with viable, effective solutions and recommendations. Their prices were very reasonable, and I thought I was just renting a motorcycle. I did not expect to have a full-service tour guide included on top of that! Cannot recommend the rental shop enough. They are awesome. You will have an amazing time!

I can't recommend Ecuador Bike Rental highly enough. This was one of the absolute best rental experiences I’ve had anywhere in the world due to their genuine dedication to customer experience. First, the price was extremely fair—excellent value for the quality of motorbike and the level of service provided. There was zero sense of being upsold. In fact, Davos went out of his way to make sure I got the best deal possible for the length of my trip, without ever pushing unnecessary extras. I'm a short girl travelling solo and I've had many a crew try to rip me off, but not these guys. The equipment itself was top-notch. Absolutely thrilled with my recent motorbike experience! I took a 4- day trip around the north of Ecuador on a Royal Enfield. As a solo female traveler, I felt felt safe everywhere I went. Ecuador seems to be made to be discovered on a motorbike, with all it's beautiful (on and off-road) roads through mountainous areas. Davos was incredibly helpful, guiding me through the best routes and sharing invaluable tips for my journey. The motorbike was in excellent condition and came with waterproof panniers. I also appreciated that the rental came with full gear since I hadn’t brought any. I can't recommend this rental enough for anyone looking to explore Ecuador on two wheels. Great place for motorbike rentals. The owner is someone who is clearly very knowledgeable about motorcycles. He rents the motorbikes but also puts trips together to different areas. I came for the rentals but i am looking forward to also joining in on the further trips. I rented a Royal Enfield Himalayan. These guys brought the motorbike to my hotel with all the protective gear (except boots) and two large paniers. The motorbike was in good shape but not looking brand new, which is exactly how I like my rental motorbikes to look that way I'm not too scared of dropping them. Ecuador is a fantastic place for enduro riding I will probably be back.

Rented 9 motorbikes with friends for 12 days to explore Ecuador. Staff and owner are very helpful and cooperative. They helped us to plan the trip and even joined us on the first day (self navigated tour) to get used to the motorbikes and navigating out of Quito. Bikes were in good condition and good suitable for both road and off-road. Ecuador is a truly amazing country and perfect for adventurous motorbike trips through the most beautiful landscapes. The country is so diverse so during some rides the views change by the minute. Depending if you want do some partying or stay at remote locations, Ecuador can offer it all! Be prepared for all weather conditions!

Amazing experience renting motorbikes with sleipner and exploring the backroads of Ecuador! Beautiful country, so much to see within reasonably small radius around Quito. We did a loop about 1200km around Quito and %95 on dirt roads. Volcanos, waterfalls, wildlife, friendly locals, so much to see. Staff at Sleipner were super friendly and helpful, motorbikes were running great. One motorbike broke down due to our fault and the guys delivered us replacement motorbike immediately and picked up the broken one. Flawless experience! Recommend 100%

Last December 2023 I was telling my wife about doing a motorcycle tour. I’m old and carry my AARP card so I was a little hesitant about my wish but my wife was encouraging so I got on the phone and called Ecuador Bike Rental and talked to Davos . I let him know my concerns ( older , not the most skillful rider and detest large city riding) . He quickly design a route and recommended a motorbike . The dates were set and I went to Quito on a Saturday flight out of Chicago. Monday I took a Uber to the rental office and my motorbike was outfitted with soft panniers . I was given choice of safety equipment including jacket, helmet ,pants , gps, intercom communication etc. My motorbike was a KTM 390 but there were others to choose from. At home I have recently traded in an older 1100GS for an 850GS so the 390 seems relatively small but once you throw a leg over it the ergonomics are very nice, did I mention I have a hip problem ? My route was from Quito to Banos to Misahualli and back to Quito. The first day I had a guide for the whole day and I was thankful , driving in Quito was a little challenging for me at the beginning but soon you get the hang of it. We started early and headed toward Banos . On the way we made a few stops for pictures, to stretch or just to take in the beauty of the landscape. We stopped at Yambo lagoon, and made a visit to Ambato before heading to Banos which I think they consider the adventure capital. Once in Banos I said goodbye to my guide Dave who was never satisfied until any concern that I had has been resolved. The hotels they book for you on this half guided half self guided tour are top notch. I booked an hour massage and then grabbed a camera and went out for dinner. Next day without a guide was painless. , the GPS is programmed to take you to the next destination. Speed limit in Ecuador on the highway is 55MPH and you could possibly go faster but then would miss all the incredible sights. A lot of turns and twist, you come down in elevation from Quito and then eventually you climb up to get to Quito . In Misahualli I arrived at a resort called Suchi Pakari. So remote you’d never find it on your own. The smell and the sounds the food all just a wonderful place to visit. On the way back to Quito a place to stop is Papallacta. Known for the thermal pools. Easy to lose track of time there. The landscape here is also different (Paramo) . Is difficult to get bored just riding your motorbike around this country as scenery and climate can change so quickly. I enjoyed my visit and have already been thinking about the next time .

15 days solo, around 3000 km. Truly an unforgettable trip during which every passing day seemed to be ever better than the last one. The change of scenery in Ecuador is nothing short of breathtaking, going from a coastal climate to a mountainous, to the Amazonian rainforest all within a span of a few hundreds of kilometers. I found Ecuador to be an easy country to travel with tons of places to see and lots of friendly people. I recommend Ecuador Bike Rental for anyone looking to go on a motorcycling trip in Ecuador!

I rented a Fatty 150 for one week to try it out. I found the service and attentiveness of the staff ( thank you Matthew!) to be excellent. They provided everything I needed. The Fatty runs great! I think they are the best in Quito. I am so pleased that I rented it for and additional week. If you want to rent a motorcycle, I would highly recommend them. You won’t be disappointed.

We did our honeymoon with pancho as a guide. Everything was perfect organized they helped us also with our luggage issues at the airport. Pancho knowledge about the country was amazing he could tell us everywhere anything about the city, the places we have been to and anything we asked him. The tour was well planed but left also enough space for spontanous trip and plans. The roads were very good and the panorma was all the way outstanding. We also did our first time some offroad parts, but we felt all the time in very good hands so we could enjoy all the ride. I can definetly can recommend ecuador for a motorcycle trip. And if you looking for a motorbike tour and maybe a motorbike, ecuador motorbike rental is the best place to go. I really have to thank you guys for this amazing exeperince.

Top notch experience My wife and I were traveling to Ecuador and we decided to take it up a notch and go on an adventure; and what better way than to do it than on a motorcycle. We did a little bit of research and found “Sleipner Bike Rentals” and let me tell you; best decision ever!!! We picked a couple of KTM 790 motorbikes and we opted for the guided tour along the Spondylus route and it was amazing and our guide Francisco was very knowledgeable. He knew some well hidden treasures along the route with some amazing views and picture perfect sunsets. He took us to some amazing places to eat and try some of the local delicacies and one day we even got to see some hunchback whales. Our whole journey was a non stop adventure and unfortunately we had to go back to reality and put a pin on it for the moment but we can’t wait to come back and continue with this unforgettable adventure.

My wife wanted to plan a surprise self guided motorcycle tour for me in Ecuador. She got in touch with David, the owner and he worked with her planning out everything. Activities, where to go, hotel and everything set up around what she wanted the trip to be for me. I flew to Ecuador where David had everything all set for my arrival. Once on the trip I was always able to reach David with any questions or whenever I needed a suggestion on a rout or place to go. Enjoyed being able to take off on my own but with support whenever needed. I also did one guided off-road day where Pancho road over from Quito to meet me and guide me on a particularly great off-road rout. David at Sleipner made renting a motorbike for our self guided tour a breeze. The motorbike I was supposed to be on had an issue, and David upgraded my motorbike without hesitation. He provided us with jackets and gloves for the ride as well as giving us some great recommendations along our route. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in Quito.

I am wanting to post a review of a recent very positive experience with Sliepner Motorcycle rentals out of Quito. In mid July this year (2021) I had a great time on a solo adventure supported by Davos and staff at Sliepner. I found the organization to be responsive and flexible to my needs and interest and they (Davos in particular) went beyond expectations proving me with ideas and information as I continued on my tour of Ecuador even after I returned their motorcycle (VStrom 650) which had taken me to Banos and beyond into the Amazon Basin then back to Mindo and “home” to Quito. 6 days and 5 nights of poking around at my own pace as winds and weather moved me. Through out this time Davos proved himself knowledgeable about cultural, geographical and avian highlights. An excellent adventure with just the right amount of support - I am thinking of adding another motorcycle trip on at the end of my travels in Ecuador this year.

We rented two motorbikes from Ecuador Bike Rental for a nine day self guided tour. Davos was very helpful, even calling us via WhatsApp to work out details. We decided to rent motorbikes almost as an afterthought , and only three days before our arrival in Ecuador, Davos hooked us up. The motorbikes, panniers, and riding gear were delivered to our hotel in Guayaquil promptly the morning after our late night arrival. We rode all over the central and southern mountains and had a great trip. When we asked to keep the motorbikes an extra day, Davos was accommodating. I’ve been riding motorcycles for 35 years, and I have a small fleet of my own motorbikes. I think a little more attention could be paid to basic maintenance on the motorbikes and gear we rented, but they performed flawlessly. We had zero problems and the most wonderful time exploring what surely must be the most beautiful country on earth. I would rent from these guys again, and I will recommend them to my Moto-minded friends. p.s. Don’t be like me. Reserve your motorbikes far in advance of your trip!
