Arriving in tropical Bali's cultural heart of Ubud is like entering a different world. Lush rice paddies, Hindu temples, traditional Balinese architecture, and carved wooden artworks abound. With so much natural beauty and cultural intrigue across the island, renting a scooter or motorcycle makes getting around Ubud and beyond easy and adventurous.
A great place to start exploring is at the center of Ubud itself. Wind through narrow streets lined with art galleries, boutiques and cafes showcasing local handicrafts. Stop at the lively Ubud Market where souvenirs and snacks tempt, then make your way to the towering temple Gate of Pura Lempuyang Luhur, allowing stunning views over Ubud.
Don't miss the nearby Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary, where playful long-tailed macaques roam through mossy temples and giant banyan trees. Venturing further afield on two or four wheels opens up even more gems. Just north, have a close encounter with elephants at the Mason Elephant Park and Safari Lodge.
East takes you to ancient Pura Goa Gajah, the ‘elephant cave’ intricately carved into a hillside. Down south you can ride amid endless green rice terraces, especially photogenic in Tegalalang. With so much natural splendor, don't forget Ubud's southern beaches.

Companies’ conditions vary. In the search results you will be able to see what kind of licence each motorbike requires. Usually a scooter requires B (car) or AM/A1. Anything bigger usually requires A2 or A.

Yes. The vast majority of our rentals include basic insurance, local taxes and any road fees. You have the option to add 'extras' (ie. One-Way rental, GPS, GoPro, etc) but we'll clearly list any additional costs involved before you book your motorbike/scooter.
In most occasions the maximum you might be charged is the security deposit. If you included Premium Insurance with your booking, then your security deposit will be protected. When you pickup up your rental, our local rental partner will explain the procedure to follow and emergency contact details in the event of an accident - your safety always comes first.
