What better way is there of exploring the renaissance city of Firenze than on motorbike? On two wheels, you can quickly weave in and out of its narrow streets and avoid the traffic while seeing all the gorgeous sites. And when it comes to sightseeing, you’re spoiled for choice.
The city is arguably the cultural capital of the world, offering incredible museums and art galleries, including the world-famous Palazzo Pitti and the Uffizi Gallery. Florence has a long history. It was originally a Roman military colony and a base during the first century AD.
It then became the seat of power for the duchy of Tuscany and was, for a brief period in the 19th century, the capital of Italy. It remains a centre of commerce, finance and learning to this day. Surrounding Firenze is the beautiful Tuscan countryside.
Here you’ll find gentle rolling hills and a landscape that looks eerily similar to certain regions of northern California. If you choose motorcycle or scooter hire, you can explore multiple sites of interest in the nearby area, including the beautiful villages of Volterra, Arezzo, San Gimignano, Montepulcianio and Pienza. These villages are ancient with some built atop stunning rocky outcrops.
The closest airport is the Florence Regional Airport. Here, you can get scooter hire or quad bike hire, and then ride into the city center. While cars are available, you may find that hiring a motorcycle is a better option for your itinerary.

Companies’ conditions vary. In the search results you will be able to see what kind of licence each motorbike requires. Usually a scooter requires B (car) or AM/A1. Anything bigger usually requires A2 or A.

Yes. The vast majority of our rentals include basic insurance, local taxes and any road fees. You have the option to add 'extras' (ie. One-Way rental, GPS, GoPro, etc) but we'll clearly list any additional costs involved before you book your motorbike/scooter.
In most occasions the maximum you might be charged is the security deposit. If you included Premium Insurance with your booking, then your security deposit will be protected. When you pickup up your rental, our local rental partner will explain the procedure to follow and emergency contact details in the event of an accident - your safety always comes first.
