The ultimate way to experience the area - on a Harley! I've ridden in a lot of places around the world, but booking with the rental shop was something else entirely. Very very personalized attention. From the moment I arrived at their base the staff was welcoming, professional, and genuinely passionate about what they do - you can tell this isn't just a business, it's a lifestyle. We hired a Harley-Davidson for a self-guided tour, and they set me up perfectly. They offered me riding different models and decide which one suited me best. The motorbike was immaculate, powerful, and handled the mountain passes like a dream. Some routes were closed due to weather but we followed an alternate route and finally ended up at the destination. The whole process was smooth and flexible, from booking to drop-off, and the staff's attention to detail made sure I felt safe and confident on the road. From start to finish communication with the rental shop was amazing. Booked a nice Harley for my trip and the owner was informative and helpful throughout the entire process of booking the motorbike. When arriving on the day to pick up the motorbike for our adventure the team at the shop were helpful with fitting us with the right gear and even offering us some coffee as we arrived early in the morning. The motorbike was in pristine shape and even had a phone holder for using GPS. The rates for the rentals were the best in town and they went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed before heading out. I would be more than happy to rent from this shop again and again.

No guesswork, just no-nonsense mechanical expertise. The team is a master in the workshop and handled my warranty repairs seamlessly. I had my motorbike back, serviced and repaired, by the next working day. No fuss, all smiles. The setup includes a high-end workshop right inside the store, making a massive difference in the quality of care. When you spend proper money on a scooter like this, you expect this level of service. They have a wide range of stock on the floor and also do affordable rentals. Highly recommended!

Region has some of the most spectacular motorcycle touring roads so it would be great way to expirience it. There was a minor issue with the bike I got first day so I took it back and they gladly exchange it for the next model up for the second day.

The staff member was a great guy. Kind, decent, and responsible. He provided us with a wonderful motorcycle, fully prepared for long trips, and also allowed us to leave our luggage at his place. What pleased me most was the price of the motorcycle. I haven't seen anything cheaper in Cape Town; 2000 for a BMW is a gift. We had a great time and traveled half the country on the motorcycle. I am very grateful for such positive emotions. I am very glad that in South Africa I found not only many impressions but also a friend, a motorcycle mate. At home, I will remember this time and the experience with warmth.

Renting a motorbike at Adventure was much more than just a rental, it was a real experience. By choosing Don and Michelle, I received the right guidance to save time and stay safe during my road trip. Their advice helped me make the most of my short time riding around the Cape area, they were able in reactivity to help me adjusting my trip in such a way I didn’t waste a single moment figuring out routes or what to see, everything was perfectly optimized thanks to them. I also got great advice when choosing the motorbike. I initially planned to rent a cheaper option, but Don recommended the BMW GS1250 Adventure (low profil, I am 1.8 ). Following his advice was a game changer. I felt extremely secure and comfortable on the road, much more than I would have on another motorbike. The motorbike itself was in perfect condition, very safe and extremely well maintained. I’m already thinking about coming back and renting two motorbikes for a full week with my father. If you’re planning to ride the Cape, this is the company to use. I had rented a BMW 800 GS from Frank. I drove it along the Garden Route to the Edo National Park and through the backyard back , a total of 3000 km of which about 20% off-road. The motorcycle was in an excellent condition freshly maintained new tires perfectly equipped for the tour. It was the ideal motorcycle for an individual, is easy to handle very powerful I would do it again at any time. Thanks again to Frank for his uncomplicated, simple and professional way of handling everything. He does not look for problems when returning the motorcycle even if the motorcycle is very dirty and extremely sloppy he does not look for scratches and for any errors that were not there before and you get your deposit back in full. I hope I can come to South Africa again then I will rent a motorcycle from Frank again.

My wife and I rented a 1300GS 2024 model from the rental shop in November 2025 for 1 day. Bike condition was great. The staff was very flexible (returning time of the motorbike, changing the dates due to weather, etc). The value to cost is great compared to other vendors. They provided us both with helmets with microphones, jackets, gloves with no extra charge. They also suggested amazing roads for us to discover. All in all 10/10 experience.

Renting a motorcycle from Mussa was a fantastic experience. This was our first time renting a motorcycle overseas, and Mussa made the entire process easy and fun. He was extremely responsive and patient with us both before the rental and throughout the trip. Mussa also helped us plan the logistics of our ride and was very flexible with both pickup and drop-off times, which we really appreciated. We rented a GS1300, and the motorbike was in pristine condition. We had a small issue with the GPS (which turned out to be an issue with iOS outdated version), and Mussa was quick to help us sort it out without any hassle. If we ever return to Cape Town, I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to rent from Mussa again. Highly recommended!

Incredible outing on the BMW GS1250. Conrad was super helpful in advising me on some scenic routes to take on my day tour of the Southern and Western Cape. The motorbike itself was in great condition and I also managed to hire helmet/jacket/gloves from CTMR which all fit well and were in good condition. Defo will be coming back for another hire (hopefully for longer multi day usage next time). Quality experience. Would recommend. 👊

The team made the process of hiring a Harley StreetGlide Ultra super easy. My wife and I had an excellent 24 hours riding south of Cape Town, taking in Chapman's Peak and Boulders Beach amongst other superb locations. The roads once you get outside of central Cape Town were as scenic as any I've ever ridden with truly spectacular scenery. The rental shop had a large choice of motorbikes at competitive daily hire rates; protective gear was also included in the price. I'd definitely use them again and my only regret is we didn't have time in our schedule to take the motorbike for a second day!

This was way above all expectations! GS Africa is not the usual rental company, it's an agency providing a complete experience service with custom route proposal, hotel booking, motorbike and equipment rental; and lots of tips & advices. You can come and blindly trust the team: just have to relax and enjoy the turn-key trip based on your preferences. [November 2025] My come-back... very last minute. I've requested for a 3-days trip to the North and testing the brand new BMW F800 GS, what a blast! After a quick chat to understand what I'm looking for, 48h later I arrived at the agency and received the final route, hotel vouchers, motorbike ready-to-ride with the extra side bags and rental protection equipment. The view is amazing, especially Bainskloof Pass; and the team has been super helpful as usual! [December 2024] My 1st time, and it was really hard to leave the agency and return the motorbike 🥺. Thanks to GS Africa's team, I ticked 2 activities from my very long bucket list: - 1st long solo road-trip: ✅ incredible landscapes, traveling 1800 km from Cape Town, Garden Route to Knysna, and back via the ocean route + 2500 km between Durban, Sodwana Bay, Drakensberg, etc... - trying heavier motorbikes that I've never ridden before: ✅ BMW G 310 GS, Yamaha Ténéré 700, and KTM 790 Adventure + some gravel and off-road tracks... So many souvenirs, so many faces and lovely conversations after those 4300 km in South Africa! From the bottom of my heart ♥️, I want to thank again everyone that I've met and helped. I felt grateful for your support, flexibility, and services. I have to mention of course: - Candi-Lee that took care of my crazy difficult rental program (3 motorbikes, starting from Cape Town, and returning 3 weeks later to Johannesburg Airport) - Petreaux for the wonderful route, stops and visits: visit ostriches farm, diving cage with the sharks, see the pinguins, etc. - Keegan for the amazing riding experience with mixed terrains, bringing the 790 Adventure outside of the boring tar. I contacted 4 motorcycle hire firms to arrange hire for a road trip I was planning out of Cape Town. Makani were 1 of only 2 that replied, the other place quoted me a price that was way more for the motorbike hire alone and would not plan an itinerary until I paid a deposit and agreed to the hire. Dave and Yvonne by comparison were so helpful, they planned an itinerary for me and only asked for a deposit to firm everything up after I had decided I wanted to go with them. They put together an excellent self guided tour for me to follow along the garden route with some fantastic accommodation to stay at, my trip lasted 10 days and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. They supported me via WhatsApp sending me tips and sights to see and sorting any issues I might have had. They made my trip easy and so very special, an experience I will never forget. Don responded to my early morning WhatsApp immediately and despite me wanting a particular motorbike (850cc) at very short notice in their busiest period when their entire fleet was fully booked for a month in advance, managed to organise exactly what I needed, all with a smile and lots of encouragement. His and Mechele’s perfect blend of professionalism and personalised in customer service sets them apart from their competitors. The motorbike had low mileage, was in great condition and proved very reliable. And during my weekend, Don was only a WhatsApp away when I, unfamiliar with the GS, had any queries whatsoever.
