Incredible Off-Road Adventure Through Tanzania! I just completed a solo (with a guide) one-week off-road motorcycle safari in Tanzania, and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience! From the moment we set off, I was blown away by the stunning landscapes, abundant wildlife, and the sheer thrill of riding through some of the most scenic and challenging terrain in Northern Tanzania. My guide was exceptional-highly skilled, knowledgeable, and passionate about both motorcycling and the local culture. Whether navigating rugged trails, spotting wildlife, or introducing me to remote villages, he made sure every moment was both safe and exhilarating. We rode through breathtaking savannas, crossed rivers, and encountered everything from giraffes and elephants to Maasai herders going about their daily lives. This trip is perfect for anyone who loves off-road riding and wants to experience Tanzania beyond the usual tourist routes. The mix of adventure, culture, and nature was just right, and I can't recommend it highly enough. Excellent Motorcycle Rental! I rented a motorcycle and spent a week traveling through Tanzania on my own. I had an amazing time! The owner is incredibly friendly and gave me lots of helpful tips. The motorcycle was in perfect condition, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend it to everyone. Thank you so much-I'll be back!

Freedom plus! This tour is amazing. If you can ride a motorbike, it offers like-minded travellers an opportunity to see not only the places that are in the tour brochures, but so much more. Our guide was knowledgeable and always making sure we had everything we needed. Stopping in one of the villages, we really saw what life is like for the locals. Women truly do fetch and carry water on their heads. Kids love seeing you, and greeted us with such enthusiasm. The food! Authentic traditional cuisine. I can't recommend this tour enough.

Starting a beautiful new Honda CRF 250 at the first day and thinking that I will miss the power from my 690 and 790 back home for several days.. Wrong thoughts! These motorbikes are perfect for this adventure! Going up, going down, going far, going fast, going slow, these motorbikes are perfect for all purposes and bikers. I was really satisfied with this low weight motorbike running 10 km among rocks upside a hill. Less is more! This trip is well prepared! There is no road signs and you will be in the middle of nowhere in a moment if you were alone! But these gentle guides don't need a GPS to find the tracks and they take care of you. They have been here several times before and done a lot of scouting to find the best tracks for you. These guides can also be mechanics and make your dinner of a goat if required. This is not a "single track". There is alternatives if required due to weather or other circumstances. Independent of your driving skills, this group of guides and landscape have something challenging and exciting to offer you. Several guides and a service-car make it possible to customize this trip to your requirements on a short notice. You will see a bit of the daily life in Tanzania along the roads, in the villages, maybe visit a school, going offroad, crossing rivers, driving in sand. Didn't miss anything. My best motorbike experience so far! In addition to great bike-driving: This trip is a great opportunity to see a bit of this beautiful country and friendly people. There is always a smile and someone waving friendly. People seems to be very happy and that is not because of money. Having lunch in a village or among rocks in the mountains, joking with locals on their motorbikes, seeing motorbikes transporting everything and meeting Maasai people are great memories. I can really recommend this adventure!

Thank you so much for 10 wonderful days in Tanzania! Eight Norwegian motorcycle enthusiasts fulfilled all their expectations for the second off-road trip to Tanzania due to superb guidance from the rental shop. We got to experience culture, nature and wildlife that are totally different from what we have in northern Europe. We visited a school where the young students, with their hands on their hearts, sang their natal song so that it echoed in the mountains south of Kilimanjaro. We saw many wild animals along the way like giraffes, wildebeest, zebras, ostriches, baboons, antelopes etc. We were on a safari, we ate goats that were slaughtered in the garden, we met Maasai with many wives and even more children, and not least had we a lot of fun motorcycle driving! Despite being BMW drivers at home, everyone fell in love with the Honda 250. A big thank you to the rental shop team!

A RIDE TO HEAVEN!!! June 2019 .We are group of off road motorbike enthusiasts with a lot of motocross,enduro and trial rides experience .We have been riding motorbikes across many different countries like Australia,Mexico,Vietnam,Mongolia,Serbia etc .Our goal is to cover in this lifetime as much rides around the globe as possible or to have at least one ride on different continent and squeeze it between our busy lifestyle work and family obligations .This year after meeting Alfa at one of Melbourne motorbike exhibition/show he was working very hard to fulfill our requests even as we preferred specific latest model KTM's 450 he organised them as well in order to meet and satisfied all our demands. So Tanzania was on our list and to be honest we had no high expectations or better say no expectations at all....YES we did it and I can tell wow wow 😮 Tanzania is the best experience we have had from all countries we visited and Alpha and his crew are professional as you can get in this business.They have excellent road knowledge,experienced riders that lead our group true most beautiful part of Tanzania all the way from Mt Kilamanjaro to Zanzibar and along the way they were making sure to accommodate us as much as possibles and answer all or question or demands in no matter what time of the day.So if you are motorbike enthusiasts and you like to see and experience Africa-Tanzania the way ordinary tourists can't even imagine or you want to explore and visit places that you can't find searching google or watch on discovery channels then I can tell you don't waste your life and don't you dare to die before you visit Tanzania .From our personal experience we highly recommend Karanga Adventure Tours as your trip organisers and I am sure they will look after you and you will enjoy it as well as we did.It will be definitely one your best life experiences EVER!!Enjoy it and have safe ride.

My wife and I spent 5 weeks in Tanzania in August 2018 and it was a last minute decision to go on a motorbike tour as we had a few days available at the end of our trip. So we booked a tour with Karanga Tours for my 55th birthday with both my wife and I to ride on separate motorbikes. Alpha made a huge effort to accommodate our needs by lowering the motorbike twice for Steph but as she wasn’t confident, she decided not to ride and instead take the 4 x 4. This was also a last minute decision, but it was no problem for Karanga to organise a 4 x 4 and guide on short notice. As we hadn’t planned on riding motorbikes, I’d brought none of my gear with me and they kitted me up with all the gear that I would use at home in Australia. We left Arusha weaving our way through traffic to fuel up for the first day’s ride. We soon made our way from the bitumen onto undulating dirt tracks. My guide Alphi was very helpful and took me on the best tracks over the Monduli mountains and down into the rift valley. The motorbikes are old school XR 250’s, easy to ride but required running repairs along the way. This only added to the experience as it gave us some time to stop and chat and take in this part of remote Tanzania. We had time to deviate up mountain trails for views and get close up to wildlife. We caught up with Steph at Lake Natron as she travelled via Manyara National Park. While we both had different journeys, we were given a fantastic exposure to the best of Tanzania. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Karanga Adventure Tours if you want a great motorbike riding experience.
