Everything was great, very friendly, and always trying to make things easier. Highly recommended.
Great place to camp with clean air, water, and great weather, with overnight lows only about 60F to 70F daytime highs, and enjoy excellent cafe food/coffee/ with an ocean view- The manager is very responsive to concerns, is professional and personable, making your stay a positive experience. A stove, fridge, shelter, warm shower, 5G WiFi, free tasty bananas greatly enhances the stay. A 5 min walk to great snorkeling with schools of colorful fish etc./wait and time the swell coming in at the nearby cove for safety. Nearby shopping and 2 Km's away: West- fishing village, w/ fresh seafood store, motorbike path, swimming access etc. East- 1st EU Unesco city with great hiking to at Monte Brasil etc. I recommend history museum. Visiting Biscoitos is a must especially when ocean swell is low/sunny. A very scenic bus ride will take you there daily and return at about 5:30pm. Each other Azorean island is different and worth a visit too.
STUNNING location nestled in a banana plantation! Small but clean apartment, well-stocked outdoor shared kitchen area, and grill. The only downside is the lack of counter space in the room. The owners were helpful; we had an afternoon flight back, so they let us use the apartment until 2 PM. You can rent a scooter directly there, which is very convenient for getting around the area, and the center is less than 10 minutes away.
The best accommodation we could have chosen! We only have good things to say: the host is a super host, 5 stars, attentive, friendly, helpful, available and trustworthy. He picked us up and dropped us off at the airport, rented us a scooter for a very reasonable price and manages accommodation that you can truly see he loves. And everything is fantastic, the surroundings, the banana trees, the coffee plant – it was an incredible experience that we loved and highly recommend. We stayed in the Papaya cabin, very charming and comfortable, the bathrooms were very clean and the kitchen/common area is very nice and allows you to prepare meals and make better use of the space, and there are always delicious bananas available for guests to eat. And we can't forget to thank the Coffee Banana employee, so kind and welcoming, who explained to us how everything is made on the farm, from the coffee (which is wonderful), to the sugarcane drink (and who made us some wonderful pancakes with fresh banana and papaya from the farm). And for those who like cats, there are 2 very cute feline residents who greeted us and then came to say goodbye. This experience is well worth it and will stay in our hearts forever. Thank you and a kiss.
