This is the perfect place to get a good motorbike for the best price in Nicaragua. We rented two Genesis 200cc for one month. They came with solid surf racks and in good condition. After 3 weeks one motorbike made some trouble, Marlon just drove all the way to our location to replace the motorbike and didn't charge anything. The reason was water in the gas tank, we might got some bad fuel or the rain found its way in the tank... Either way amazing service! Thank you so much! We loved to surf and ride the whole coast with the motorbikes! That he picked up the motorbikes in Leon for a little extra was a huge plus 🙏🏼

In March 2018, we rented two moto motorbikes from El Gato moto rentals. First of all, the service was great. The motos were ready when we arrived, we payed a small deposit and got on the road. Everything went smooth, and we were even able to leave the most of our stuff in the shop (so we didn't have to carry our heavy backpacks on the bike). After a small introduction and test ride (we were not super experienced), we left with a small backpack and drove around the west coast and Isla de Ometepe for 8 days. The owners of the motorbikes were very friendly in communication, and they let us keep the motorbikes for as long as we wanted. When we really had to move on, we brought the motorbikes back (with a one day notice), and they were very excited about the trip we made. Sorry for the delay on the review guys, I know we promised to do it earlier! ;) good luck with the moto rentals, you did great! My buddy and I wanted to find an affordable trip where we could explore on motorcycles and El Gato is one of the main reasons we chose Nicaragua. We made up our minds when we learned they would meet us at the Managua airport with the motorbikes so we could immediately start travelling without dealing with any buses, taxis or waiting around. In 9 days we saw Managua, Granada, San Juan Del Sur, Ometepe, Laguna de Apoyo, and a lot more in between. The motorcycles gave us the freedom to move around at our own pace instead of relying on bus schedules or hostel shuttles. We were able to make any stops or detours we felt like, which allowed us to get off the beaten path. The motorbikes are in great shape and handled well on everything from highways to dirt roads to sand. We met the El Gato crew at the airport on our first and last days in Nicaragua. They are absolutely great and could not have been more helpful. If you’re a competent motorcycle rider, I completely recommended seeing Nicaragua this way and renting from El Gato.
