My recent experience with BlitzRent was fantastic! As a solo traveler and first-time visitor to the island, I was initially anxious about renting a scooter, but BlitzRent made the whole process smooth and stress-free. Firstly, the price was incredibly affordable and reasonable. Secondly, the customer service was outstanding — Carlos was very courteous, friendly, and professional, especially when explaining the safety instructions and offering local tips. Additionally, Braulio was friendly, kind, and super efficient during the drop-off and processed my deposit refund immediately after a quick inspection of the scooter. The scooter itself was an excellent choice, offering far more flexibility with parking and getting around the island. I highly recommend BlitzRent to anyone visiting Madeira!

Best thing about “BlitzRent Madeira” is that it’s run by people who are riders themselves. So they understand the need to their customers well. I visited them in April 2025 and here is why I would definitely go back to them when I visit again – (1) Braulio and Carlos were super welcoming, warm, patient and they knew their motorcycles (2) They have a good fleet of scooters and motorcycles ranging from 125cc to 800cc incl. adventure scooters and motorcycles. (3) Location is a plus as it’s easily accessible, plus there is a fuel station / petrol pump just 2 mins away (4) They are accommodative too, as long as your request is genuine for them deliver on OR they will recommend alternative solution. Quick suggestion - In a span of 5 days, I rented 2 scooters and 1 motorcycle based on current availability. While I had seen the motorcycle I wanted to rent 2 month before arriving in Madeira, I did not pre book it only because I wasn’t sure of the weather. That was a mistake. Even if it shows it’s going to be raining, I would highly recommend pre-booking the one you want. Rain usually doesn’t last very long given the size of the island. And you are sure to catch some sun even on a rainy day. So pre-book!! I ended up with a Honda GB350s – not the most powerful and has only 5 gears, but it had a thumping engine sound which made it a real treat to ride on the mountain roads. I fell in love with that sound on the very first day.

I rented a motorcycle through this company. The one I initially chose was unavailable, but the rental team informed me about it in advance and offered some alternatives. I went with the classic Honda 350 - it looks great, although the performance could be better, especially on mountain roads. But that was my choice. Overall, the experience and communication were very good.

Bike almost new, A1 condition. Very reasonable price too. The guys at BlitzRent are proper bikers with lots of good info and tips, they know the Madeira roads and conditions well. Yamaha T7 great choice, powerful enough for the steep gradients even with passenger, yet also light enough for the very tight hairpins in the mountains. Would use again and would highly recommend.
