My mom was struggling with her ATV after we left the parking lot, so the guide offered to have her ride with him. Pro tips: Bring a bandana for the fumes/sand and a backpack with hand sanitizer, water and a snack/protein bar.

Our ATV tour at Volcán Pacaya with our guide was a 100/10 experience and definitely worth every penny. The tour was exciting and such a unique adventure for our family. Riding the ATVs through the different stops was so much fun. We are a family of four with two children and they had an amazing time. The tour was very family friendly and they provided an abundant amount of snacks, which was a really nice touch. The bus that takes you to the volcano had WiFi and great AC, making the ride very comfortable. Seeing the volcano in person was incredible and such a cool memory for our family. Our guide also took the time to make sure everyone got great photos, which we really appreciated. Overall this was an unforgettable experience and we would definitely recommend this ATV tour to anyone visiting Pacaya.

I took several ATV tours with the rental shop, both in Antigua and Lake Atitlan. Both tours were well planned and executed. The involvement with the local community is immersive in the most respectful and informative way. I enjoyed seeing so many beautiful things and learning so much about the local culture along the way. I ended up using them for 99% of my travel and guided experiences while out there for a week. The guide in Antigua was so passionate and knowledgeable. He made sure we had a ton of access and answered every single question that came up with facts and history. I couldn't have imagined learning as much as I did in such a short amount of time, but the passion he has for the culture and history of Guatemala is contagious. He gave one of the best, most informative tours I've ever been on. I highly recommend the rental shop.

I took an ATV sunset tour and it was amazing! I wasn't comfortable driving the ATV myself so I was able to go as a passenger. The views of Antigua and the surrounding volcanoes were incredible. The guide was fantastic giving us history and information but making it fun. Would recommend to anyone!

Did the Sunset ATV tour, highly recommend it. The views were fantastic and the guide Jony was very friendly and helpful. You dont ride that much, but all the stops were worth it,specially Hobbitenango...Fantastic views. I recommend it.

My partner and I did the motorcycle tour with Antony and it was one of our favorite things we did in Guatemala! We learned a lot of the city and it's surrounding town's histories, and Antony was honestly one of the best tour guides I've ever had for a tour! He was super relaxed and patient since I was still never to riding motorcycles, he was incredibly knowledgeable about the history, and he was able to focus some of the tour to what we were interested in which was very special. Definitely request Antony as your guide if you can!

Booked via TripAdvisor. Great experience. We met in office for safety checks and helmet fitting. Then onto visit to a park high above Antigua. Then to Hobitenango (better than expected!), finally a restaurant. The whole experience was 5-6 hours! Not sure I needed all that but to be honest went by in a blink of an eye. These guys are a good operator, and one that I used for multiple services (shuttle service between Antigua-Atitlan and Antigua-GUA airport, plus the ATV sunset tour). Our guide was a great guy - personable, positive, family man, etc.

The Antigua ATV Mountain Tour was absolutely incredible! Every checkpoint along the way was fun, engaging, and full of interesting local insights, a perfect mix of adventure and culture. Leo was a brilliant host, super friendly, inclusive, and made sure everyone felt comfortable and confident, no matter their experience level. His instructions were clear, his energy was great, and he brought our global group together effortlessly. The views were stunning, the ride itself was a blast, and the whole experience was so well organized from start to finish. And of course, Mad Dog Maddy, the tour’s adorable mascot, gave the day an extra dose of charm, and a little “bite” of something special! I’d highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Antigua, it’s an unforgettable way to explore the mountains and see the area from a whole new perspective!

I have done the "Antigua Motorcycle Adventure". The villages and areas around Antigua are very peacefully and beautiful. You can discuss the tour before departure at your wishes. Or change the tour if the weather conditions are changing during the day. Thanks Brandon, he is a good gide.

Loved the sunset ATV tour I did a few days ago with Simoon! Our tour guide Edgar was really awesome (knowledgeable about the ATVs, committed to everyone's safety while riding through town and coming down the mountain, and genuinely warm), plus he let me practice my Spanish with him! Hobbitenango is great to visit so I'm glad it was included in the experience.

Our guide was great! Explained how to use the ATV great. Simple and fun. They are automatic which makes it easy. He made sure everyone was okay and kept with the group. Took pictures of us which was a bonus!

If you're looking for an amazing fun adventure, do the ATV tour with Simoon! Erick was our guide for the ATV coffee plantation tour, and his excitement and attention to detail made it worth everything and more! He took incredible photos and videos for us, taught us about the history and culture, and made some great coffee for us to try! You can tell he truly wants to make the experience memorable and enjoyable by going above and beyond. I've got friends visiting Antigua soon and have already told them this is a MUST while they're there. 100000/10 SO fun!

I had a great time visiting five cities and many interesting places on an ATV. My favorite stop was a beer farm for lunch. In one city we walked through an alley door to a workshop to learn and see how Jade was mined and turned into jewelry. We went through another door to a nice jewelry store. Our tour guide, Danilo, really knows his way around the area.

Amazing tour company with the most amazing tour guides! The ATV coffee tour is 110% a must do in Antigua. We did 4 different tours in the city and this tour and company was by far the best customer service and well setup logistically than any other we did. ATV tour through the city was setup with 2 guided who ensured our safety through traffic and the tourguides were insanely knowledgeable about the entire coffee plant to coffee bean production. Highly highly recommend!!!

The sky-high tour was great. Fabricio was a fantastic tour guide who showed us the most beautiful views we've ever seen, along with interesting facts about the views (in English!). Also, I requested to be on a motorcycle which was no problem.

Absolutely wonderful tour!!!! The best ATV tour I’ve been one. Our guide, Nehemias, was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. He made the experience somehow even better! The tour takes you through different parts of the city and up into the higher areas of the surrounding area, beautiful views. It was a bit cloudy and rainy for us, but Nehemias had ponchos for us that he offered. He also offered we slightly adjust our route to make the tour more pleasant due to the rain, but left it fully up to us, informing us fully on the two different options and letting us pick what we wanted. Great company, beautiful views, lots of great riding!!!! Even with the clouds/fog, the tour was still magical.

The 14:30 quad to hobbiton was fantastic. Fredy was warm, knowledgable and patient. All round fantastic guy. The trip was full of surprises & was an amazing excursion. With a lunch / dinner up in the mountains at sunset. Very recommended , maybe bring a jacket in the evening when you’re driving back in the dark, & getting back at 19:30 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

Another 10/10 tour with Simoon Tours! I was blessed to take two ATV tours in Antigua through this company and now that I am at Lake Atitlan I just had to do another! Simoon's guides are all so professional and friendly, they are easy to communicate with and understanding/flexible with each traveler's needs. My favorite part is always driving the ATVs and they are very good at explaining how to use them safely. I felt very comfortable zipping around the mountains despite being a beginner. It was really nice too that the guides took high quality pictures of us throughout the tour and sent them to us later that day. If you're looking for a thrilling and educational activity in Guatemala, you must book a Simoon Tours. It was the best part of my entire trip! The only thing I would change is more direction/signage to the Simoon office in San Juan. It was kind of hard to find.

Highly recommend this tour company! We did the Pacaya ATV tour - just the best day, the views were unreal. Everything went smoothly, super organized, ran on time and informative! Our guide Alejandro was the best! Super friendly and made the tour super enjoyable. Oh, and lunch was super delicious.

We loved our ATV adventure!! The guides Diego and Pedro, were fun and helpful. They were especially impressive given we went during Lent on a Sunday and the town was very difficult to navigate due to all the road closures. Diego led the pack and Pedro blocked traffic with his ATV to keep our group of 12 together. They kept us safe and led us on a grand adventure to the cross and up the hill to Hobbitenego, then to a great restaurant and off to the chocolate factory tour. The big challenge was getting back because the roads were completely shut down at that time for the procession, but they did it and they even walked us out of the chaos to meet our host. And the price was extremely reasonable for all included. I feel like this is leaving way too much stuff out, the experience was something I’ll remember forever!

Great tour guides! The ATV to Pacaya volcano is NOT for the inexperienced or for those out of shape. I had done an ATV on mostly flat sandy terrain. This is NOT that. It was a fantastic fun experience. Highly recommend. Just not for those that are not comfortable with an ATV or never been on one!

Love, love, loved this tour. I did the Pacaya tour and it was so freakin awesome. Our guides were fun and knowledgeable. We went through the streets, base of lava rocks, sand dunes and windmills. Felt safe and comfortable the whole experience. They gave us a packed lunch which was great as well. I also used them for a shuttle and I’ll definitely be doing another atv tour. Highly highly recommend.

This was by far the best ATV tour I have done so far. The views are astonishing. The view of the surrounding volcanoes, the village of “Hobbittenango” and the guide, everything was great. Since there were only two of us, we made a few extra stops in the surrounding villages. So I was able to see a lot in just one morning. I recommend everyone to take a tour with “Simoon Rentals & Tours”. You will not regret it!

We did 2 tours with Simoon and used the for the transfer to Panajachel. Everything worked very smoothly and everyone we interacted with were friendly and professional. We first did the ATV coffee tour with our guide Alex. Alex did a great job of showing us around and ensuring we had a great time. We was a superb guide and had an awesome Halloween costume (we hope Alex wins). Through the tour we saw how coffee was made, went to an outlook with a view of the city and Alex took us to a really nice beergarten. Ask for Alex if you do this tour! The next day we did the ATV volcano tour. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t great but our guide Oscar ensured we had a great time anyways. I can highly recommend this tour if you wanna see the lava fields without trekking. I can highly recommend this tour. They also take a lot of pictures and send them to you which is an amazing touch! 10/10 recommend. Thanks so much team!

Alex was amazing as a tour guide! Very kind and told me interesting facts about antigua at each of our stops. He showed me how to use the ATV and reassured me that if I ever needed help, he’d be there (just honk twice!). The first stop on our mountain tour was a very cute chocolate production place. It was nice to try cacao beans and some of their hot chocolate. I was surprised there was also a winery to sample some products. Alex was a great photographer at all our stops, and knew the best way to do all there is to do at Hobbitenango. I’m grateful I chose this tour and highly recommend it to others! Great way to see a lot in a shorter amount of time.

Sooooo I had a great time. My boyfriend and I rode on the same ATV. Initially the tour was supposed to go to Hobbitenango but unfortunately due to political unrest we were unable to go so we visited some other places. We went to the Hill of the Cross and learned of the history of the Mayans and the Conquistadors, which was interesting. Then it poured, lol. Fernando our tour guide brought ponchos for everyone and he ran and got them for us so we could be comfortable. He was very attentive, super knowledgeable of the history of Guatemala and overall just a great guide. I would definitely go on Simoon tours again. We had so much fun.

What an amazing ATV tour!! We stopped by so many towns and got to experience the views, coffee, weaving, chocolate & pottery in Lake Atitlan! Shout out to the best guide, Yeshua! Definitely recommend you ask for him if you plan to utilize their services! He was extremely professional, fun & my girlfriends and I felt completely safe with him. (Plus, he’s a great photographer so you won’t have to worry about taking pictures & can enjoy the experience 📸 ) Muchas gracias!!

Update] We came back a year later with a group of 15 people and simoon was very accommodating! Everything went smoothly except for a few people flipping their ATVs but no one got seriously hurt. What an amazing tour!! How often can you say you rode ATVs at the base of a volcano!? This is the tour to go on while in antigua! Hands down!! What a great time we had with Simoon rentals! Our group of 10 signed up for the ATV tour that stopped by the chocolate farm, Hobbitanango and a couple other little spots. We met them at their office, got our helmets and walked over to where they kept their ATVs. They gave us a quick demo on how to operate the ATVs And off we went! They’re very easy to operate as we had a few with us that were not mechanically inclined and they were riding the ATVs with no issues. I felt safe the whole time despite riding through public traffic. Since we had a bigger group they split us into two groups of 5 that way it wasn’t too disruptive to the public traffic. I’ll definitely be back to rent some other things!
