Goodlands

From start to finish, our experience with the rental shop was excellent. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a smooth, hassle-free rental experience. Communication was easy and friendly, and they were very flexible throughout the entire process. For our first - hopefully not last - trip to Mauritius, renting a scooter turned out to be one of the best decisions we made. It gave us the freedom to explore the island at our own pace and see so much more. I would definitely rent from the rental shop again anytime. Thank you for helping make our trip even more memorable!

SSR International Airport has evolved into a modern and welcoming hub. Duty-free shopping is easier with smaller branches near the gates, and souvenir shops are appealing though more T-shirts would be a nice addition. Accessibility is impressive: tactile signs, ramps, clear signage, wheelchairs, and dedicated staff ensure inclusivity, with priority service for reduced mobility passengers. The airport is clean and well-maintained, with multiple gates despite its smaller size. A buggy service could improve convenience. Meal options already offer a good mix of local and international flavors. Money exchange and SIM counters would benefit from clearer visibility. Overall, it is an impressive airport for a small island nation, balancing efficiency with hospitality. Flying with Air Mauritius could be costly but it adds to the positive experience, often surpassing other airlines. Parking: available. Wheelchair accessibility: available. By far the best rental experience I've had so far. We got in touch via whatsapp and Navin responded within 10 minutes. The next day he already dropped off the scooter. The owner (Navin) was extremely friendly, humble and helpful. He dropped the scooter off at our location (which is 1,5 hours from the airport so this saved us 3 hours of travel), and explained the scooter, safety and some tricks in detail. When we got the scooter he even sent hand written notes containing some cool places to go on Mauritius. And we could even rent the scooter for an extra day. The whatsapp contact was absolutely great and very easy. We hired the scooter for 5 days without problems. The 2 helmets were included in the price. We did a deposit and he handled that very carefully and more importantly, very transparent. No unexpected costs or anything. This was a person who knew how to handle rentals. He wasn't difficult in any way, was helpful and basically puts his trust in the person that's renting his scooter. I would definitely recommend renting here as a scooter is way more convenient to go around in Mauritius and it's a lot cheaper as well. Oh yeah and if you like to know more about the island or just want a nice chat, he got you covered 👌😎
