We rented two motorbikes from the rental shop for a loop around Rwanda and a trip into Uganda to Lake Bunyonyi, and everything went perfectly. The motorbikes were reliable, comfortable, and had no issues during the whole trip. The rental shop regularly checked in to make sure everything was going well, recommended great routes, and shared some hidden gems that we would have otherwise missed. They were always easy to talk to and quick to help if we had any questions. I would definitely rent from the rental shop again and highly recommend it to anyone looking to explore Rwanda or Uganda by motorcycle.

We did a two week self guided motorbike tour and rented the motorcycles from the rental shop. The staff are fantastic people, they gave us a great itinerary and route recommendations suited to our driving ability. They were always reachable during our travels. The motorbikes are not quite up to european standards, but perfectly suitable for the rough backroads of East Africa and we did not have any major issues with them even though we drove them hard. I can highly recommend renting motorbikes here.

Rented a motorbike for a selfdrive trip through Rwanda from the rental shop. Fair price, good working and maintained motorcycles that will get you pretty much anywhere (if your skills are good enough), and the staff will respond quickly basically 24 hours a day. Renting a motorbike with the rental shop is definately a great way to spend your time in Rwanda!

The guide is an awesome, super respectful and smart guide who put together the perfect motorcycle trip through routes that show the best of Africa's small towns and national parks, we got to see lions, rhinos, elephants, leopards, and so many more animals. The places we stayed at were amazing, with views of landscapes I never imagined seeing in Africa. The motorbikes look kinda small haha, but they're actually perfect for this kind of adventure, we finished the whole trip without a single problem. I'm beyond thankful for this one of a kind experience, and I'd totally do it again, no doubt. Every little detail was taken care of, and our guide was always ready to help with anything that came up. He also does 4x4 truck tours, so maybe next time I'll do that one with my family. Thanks a lot!!!!

The rental shop operates an organized, friendly and welcoming business. They were invaluable in helping me plan my solo motorbike tour of Rwanda & Uganda and the little 200cc motocross motorbike I rented never broke down despite some very rough roads. I would definitely use their services again!

I did a tour in Rwanda for 2 days and in Uganda for 3 days and it was awesome. The guides are very knowledgeable and show you things you don't see with classic tourism. The off-road routes are very nice with very good motorbikes. You can trust the motorbikes; even 200cc is enough (I drive a 750cc in France and here I never felt I would need more than 200cc). You can cross any off-road terrain, even rivers, with those motorbikes! The staff are very kind and helpful. I am very thankful for the entire trip I did! I will come back for sure!

I did six days solo in Rwanda and rented a 250cc motorbike through Motorbiking Rwanda. Good price, motorbike worked good the whole trip on and off road. This motorbike was perfect. Glad I didn't rent anything bigger because you rarely need the extra power. The shop where you pick up the motorbike is a house in a neighborhood. A little unconventional but everything worked out fine for me. They even had riding gear to borrow.

My friend and I rent two 200 CC motorbikes from this company for a self-guided tour of one week in January 2024. Vincent has been extremely responsive from the day we discussed the booking details before arriving in Kigali. There was a battery issue with one of the motorbikes on our way out of Kigali. Mucyo delivered a replacement motorbike in less than an hour. Otherwise, the motorbikes were in good condition. Our 800 km trip was great fun, with a perfect combination of macadam and dirty roads. I have done enduro road trips in many countries in Africa and Asia. I recommend doing it in Rwanda. The country is super safe, the traffic is soft, the people are amazingly kind, the landscapes are fantastic and you can find repair mechanics in every village if you need a quick fix with a motorbike. Overall, excellent experience with Vincent and very nice motorbike to get around Kigali! We wanted to have some freedom to explore Kigali on our own but we hadn’t planned ahead. Thanks to Vincent we were able to rent one of his motorbikes for the weekend super easy, he dropped it very quickly where we were staying and we could start riding.

Today I had the best motorbike trip experience ever! Seeing Rwanda, while driving on the motorbike following Vincent was a mega experience. The combination of paved and unpaved roads was great. Vincent has a great route along beautiful lakes, mountains and volcanoes and small villages giving an unforgettable experience. Thank you once again for the fantastic day Vincent. Perfect motorbike for the job. I had the 250cc which is perfect for a round trip, even if you sometimes take more challenging paths. Communication with the company is spot on, so are their tips about where to go and where to stay. The service to bring the back to your hotel and pick it up at the end of the trip was very much appreciated. Besides that, if you have a problem with the motorbike like a puncture, Mucyo helps you and if necessary will be with you in three hours, wherever you are on Rwanda. Thanks guys. Vincent was great - he will arrange a detailed tour for you but is equally happy just to give you a motorbike and gear and let you do your own thing, which was just what I wanted. He was punctual and well prepared for collection and return of the motorbike, and during the rental could be contacted easily with any questions. Bike was good and well maintained and I would recommend MOTORBIKING RWANDA TOURS & RENTALS to anyone wanting to explore Rwanda beyond just Kigali without having to deal with public transport and tour operators.

Great adventure... Good communication to get the rental together. One thing I'd change is the location of the shop.. pretty rough area to access, regular taxi will not get there, Moto will. They did tell me this so I was prepared. Better if they were more local on paved road..

Original Review from 2018: I rented a motorbike here back in 2018 for a few days and it was one of the best things I did in Rwanda (and I stayed for a year!). Vincent is a really nice guy who is trying to make you have the best experience possible. I didn't take a guided tour, but I can imagine he is a great guide. He gave me a lot of tips about good places to go, he definitely knows his country well! Rwanda itself is perfect for motorbiking. Plenty of nice curves, going up and down (amazing views!). A mix of perfect roads, and if you like also plenty of off road. As soon as I'm back to Rwanda, I'd love to do a tour again. I loved it. Update 2022: I came back to Rwanda with my wife recently and this time we did the tour together. Plenty of space for her in the seat behind me (she's not a small woman) and we even had a waterproof bag for clothes behind us. Kagabo was very helpful advicing us about the rain season and preparing us for it. It's definitely easier during dry season, but due to the high population density of Rwanda, you'll almost always find shelter early enough. Just expect to move slower as you'll be waiting sometimes for the rain to pass.

I used Motorbiking Rwanda Tours and Rentals over the last week during my stay in Rwanda and they were amazing! I rented a motorbike for a week and rode up to Volcanoes National Park and back for gorilla trekking. At Vincent’s recommendation I also did some off-roading to Lake Muhazi following the Google Maps route provided. The rest of the week I did various trips in and around Kigali. Vincent provides drop off and pick up service, to hotels/guest houses or residences, and will include helmet and safety gear as needed. He is available via WhatsApp at all times during your stay for consultation and/or support. This is an amazing way to take in Rwanda as it has amazing roads, relatively low speed limits and a reasonably good driving culture making it a safe bet for beginners through to advanced riders. The scenery is simply incredible in the land of a thousand hills. I will definitely endeavor to do it again someday! This company provides outstanding customer service for a very reasonable price. Highly recommended!
