Touching down at Valencia Airport puts you right next to the city of Manises in Spain. While small, this city has an understated charm and makes for a great first destination to explore. Manises is most well known for its history of ceramic production. In fact, the Museo Nacional de Cerámica is a must-see attraction to learn about the legacy of pottery and tilework in the area. Beyond the museum, the best way to experience Manises is to simply meander through the cobbled lanes and browse the various shops and cafés.
