The motorcycle was in good overall condition (except for the turn signal switch) and reliable. This motorcycle was suitable for my height (1.97 m) and for this 4,300 km trip. It's quite hard to find a dirt motorbike for rental in Hanoi that feels truly 100%. Most motorbikes have bad brakes, a broken speedometer, something not working properly, or they have been crashed so many times that you can feel things are no longer aligned correctly. The WR155 I rented from the rental shop was in pristine condition. It was clear they take real pride in maintaining their motorbikes. Not just enough maintenance to keep them running, but the kind of care that makes them feel almost new, which definitely cannot be said for every rental company here.

I was in communication before I come to vietnam about renting a motorbike. Very easy to talk and get prices and the rental shop was the best option. I rented a xr150 from here and I rode over 1600kms to Sapa and then to Ha Giang, stayed and completed the loop and rode back again to the shop in Hanoi. Very well priced and unlimited milage. I chose to buy insurance in case of an accident or breakdown and they would have replaced the motorbike if I needed it. Highly recommend this shop to rent a motorbike.
