Geneva is a small hub in Switzerland, in the middle of a scenic blend of lakes, countryside, and mountains, that attracts visitors from all over the world. There are beautiful views to explore, regardless of what time of year you visit. There are many sides to Geneva, from the business conducted in the United Nations office to the watersport and skiing activities that you can partake in.
Geneva may be small, but is a stunning, French-speaking city that is worth exploring. The Geneva airport is located close to the centre of the town. Alternatively, you can get to Geneva by train, bus or car.
Less than 2 hours away you can head to the Alps and explore some of the world’s best ski slopes with spectacular panoramic alpine views. Hire a quad bike and head to Lake Geneva or Lac Leman for some breathtaking views of crystal clear waters that line the mountains and for the adventurous individuals, get involved in some of the many water sports options: swim in the lake, scuba dive, go on a diving tour, sailing and waterskiing. Further along the shore you can head to Lausanne, a large City in Switzerland, or you are a close drive to other remarkable towns such as Montreuz, Nyon, Evian and Yvoire.
Alternatively, you can shop-til-you-drop with some of the biggest brands in the world including Rue du Rhone, relax in the spa and take a quiet walk around the Alpine gardens. Stunning parks are scattered all over the city, which can easily be explored along with famous monuments such as Jet d’Eau and the Reformation Wall, and a great way to finish is to visit the local museums that Geneva has to offer, such as the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Museum and the Patek Philippe Museum. Geneva also has the world-leading observatory for exoplanets and has plenty to explore for those interested in science.
There is a lot you can visit in Geneva, but if you have more time, then you can hire a motorbike and head down south to the French border, where you can explore the limestone ridge that offers magnificent views of the Alps and the lakes, known as Mont Saleve. Here you can also partake in hiking and rock climbing activities. Yes. The vast majority of our rentals include basic insurance, local taxes and any road fees. You have the option to add 'extras' (ie. One-Way rental, GPS, GoPro, etc) but we'll clearly list any additional costs involved before you book your motorbike/scooter.
In most occasions the maximum you might be charged is the security deposit. If you included Premium Insurance with your booking, then your security deposit will be protected. When you pickup up your rental, our local rental partner will explain the procedure to follow and emergency contact details in the event of an accident - your safety always comes first.
