Highly recommended for fantastic Ugandan - and surrounding countries- motorcycle experience. The dirt motorbike was fantastic, the service was top notch, and the rental shop communicated wonderfully. Highly recommended versus the really expensive motorbikes offered elsewhere if you want a more rugged "backpacker" experience. I am an american solo traveller, who's been across Africa and enjoys motorcycle expeditions. It can be hard to find someone who looks after you like the rental shop.
I am grateful to the rental shop for the great opportunity to ride around the outskirts of Entebbe on a motorcycle. If necessary, they can provide a helmet and gloves (use a balaclava). Unfortunately, there are not many interesting locations to visit in the city, so after exploring the city, I went to see the surroundings of the city. Dirt roads have a stable grip on the wheel. Boda-boda turned out to be very soft and not as slow as I imagined. The difficulty was getting used to the left-foot traffic. As a result, I enjoyed dealing with the rental shop.
Good experience with the rental shop. Last minute arrangement was possible. They keep their promises and are flexible in returning the motorcycle. Motorcycle was in good condition, although we had to change it initially due to a minor problem.
I contacted the rental shop to have a motorbike experience in the surroundings of Entebbe. Went for the 250cc. The rental shop guided me from the docks to different markets, to the golf course and beach of lake victorie and the fishers village. Good explanations & interaction with locals. Pricewise not cheap but for me it was worth it, dont expect to race around Entebbe, it's too crowded. More days and with the 400cc it can be more the thing for thrillseekers. Thanks to the rental shop.
For me at first it was a lot of research to find the right partner for my travelplans on a rented motorcycle. I didn't even know if it would be possible because I couldn't really find a website where it directly says we rent motorcycles (and not like the others 4x4 cars). Then I was so lucky to find the rental shop's website. I described what I wanted to do and asked how this could be possible. The rental shop offered me beforehand all the informations I needed to go on with the planning (how is the petrol station infrastructure, are there enough mechanics on the way If something happens,...). Just to mention it: Uganda had a surprisingly good infrastructure to visit it by motorbike. So I can definitely recommend it! To ensure that I can make a good decision they also sent me pictures of the motorcycle. Because of the good contact we had I decided to take the rental shop rather than another company I also had contact with. I chose the 400cc. Driving with it is so much fun. I will definitely miss it. The rental shop escorted me the first 2 km and then the adventure began. It's a strong motorbike that managed to carry me to bwindi NP and all the other places I wanted to go. The streets were sometimes in really bad conditions but the motorbike was always strong and found its way. To conclude I definitely recommend the rental shop's services and their motorcycles. They also offer the 125cc (? I think) Bajaj Boxer that is driven everywhere in Uganda.
Best price guaranteed.
