Kawasaki KLR650 Adventure

We hired two motorbikes from Motorcycle Adventure to do a ride right around Uganda. They were really helpful while I was organising the trip with great advice and they arranged our permits for gorilla and chimp trekking. We hired two Yamaha Teneres and they were well prepared and gave no trouble We rode 3,000 kms with only a couple of punctures but Motorcycle Adventure had given us spare inner tubes and the tool to get the wheel off. I feel sure that had we needed help they would have been there. Everything was done in a really straightforward way. We had an extraordinary trip, saw brilliant wildlife and did some unforgettable riding. So a great big thank you to Ali, Joseph and the team at Motorcycle Adventure, they get a huge recommendation from me.

This Uganda 10 day trip was one of the best motorcycle adventure tours I have ridden! I have ridden adventure rides around the world and can honestly say that Ali and his team did everything he could to make this trip a highlight in my memory bank of adventures! Being able to ride a motorbike through a national park in Africa is not something anyone else can offer you and while I have also done many game drives from private and public games reserves in Africa, doing this on a motorbike offers another world of awe and excitement. This is what adventure riding is truly about with a combination of the humility and beauty of Uganda, the thrill and excitement of not knowing what the days riding will involves (off road and on road!) and the enjoyment you receive from doing this while carrying out your passion for motorcycle riding. Ali, Josef and Pious are a great team and more than once went to extreme levels to rescue a rider who decided to do his own thing that resulted in seriously damaging the motorbike and required an emergency midnight 200km drive for Ali and Pious to rescue him and recover and repair the motorbike. The rider luckily wasn't injured. So if you are worried in any way about the support that is available from this team to make your adventure the best, do not be! The only poor thing about Motorcycle Adventure Uganda is their web site. I had a word to Ali about this as it is not the best (hopefully resolved by the time you read this) so please use these reviews in TripAdvisor, Facebook and Google for now to get the best understanding of the service they offer. So from waterfalls from land and boat, getting up close to some amazing animals and reptiles, experiencing the wonder of Uganda and its people and just enjoying a great adventure I would highly recommend this trip. Ali is always looking and offering new trips and is also happy to customise trips so please reach out to him. He is very literate and quick in responding and I have asked him to keep in touch for future trips he is considering as I will certainly want to be in consideration to join him (Tanzania, Ethiopia and even a possible mention of Pakistan..). You have to love being an adventure rider so many thanks to Ewan and Charlie for shining the light all those years ago! I am proud to consider Ali a friend as a result of this first trip and want to publicly say thanks mate, it was a fantastic experience and lets do this again!.
