We did a 4-day motorcycle tour to the Tatacoa Desert, and it was an incredible experience. Our guide was simply the best you could ask for. Not only is he a great person - friendly, relaxed and always helpful - but also extremely knowledgeable and professional. You always feel safe riding with him while still having a lot of fun on the motorbike. Thanks to the guide I rode off-road for the first time on this trip. His explanations and tips made it easy to gain confidence quickly, and we were able to ride properly and enjoy the adventure. The landscapes on the way to the Tatacoa Desert are stunning, and experiencing them by motorcycle makes it even more special. The guide was so good and the off-road experience so great that I even bought myself a KTM Adventure. Highly recommended tour and a big thank you to the entire team for an unforgettable adventure.

We rented 5 motorbikes and had an excellent experience. The staff helped me fine-tune the routes and was always available with valuable advice and local insight. In two weeks we experienced Colombia in full, from the high Andes around Bogotá and Villa de Leyva, to the dramatic cliffs of Chicamocha Canyon, vibrant Medellín, the lush coffee mountains of Jardín, the volcanic highlands near Nevado del Ruiz, the tropical Magdalena River valley, and finally the intense heat and otherworldly landscapes of the Tatacoa Desert. The motorbikes were in good condition and performed flawlessly over both twisty mountain roads and off-road stretches. Pickup and return were smooth and well organised. Whenever we had a question, the staff responded quickly and clearly. It was reassuring to know support was there if we needed it. Professional, reliable, and easy to deal with throughout. I have rented motorbikes in many countries and they are among the best, if not the best. Highly recommended for anyone planning a motorcycle trip in Colombia.

My dad and I signed up for the 7-day Coffee, Curves, and Hot Springs tour without having ever visited Colombia, hoping it would give us a meaningful introduction to the country’s culture, food, and natural beauty. From the moment we entered the lush forests, we were completely blown away by how stunning Colombia is and by how thoughtfully curated the route was. From volcanoes to coffee farms, we experienced an incredible variety of landscapes and adventures. Brandon and Simon started as our guides but quickly became friends as we laughed, rode (on moto and horse 😅), and ate our way through some truly special places. If you want to rent a motorbike or go for a motorcycle tour this is the place. Excellent service, motorbikes in good running condition. I made a rental for 15 days. Honda XRE 300, everything worked as expected, plus motorbike was on new tires. Great on paved, save off road. Guys gave me a lot of hints about what to see and also some extra safety tips. Great contact during all rental. I definitely can recommend this place and would choose Them again.

Loco Moto saved the day! Another tour cancelled and Loco Moto came to the rescue. If you know how to ride a motorcycle, don't sign up for anything else. THIS IS THE BEST! Brandon's wife (owner) greeted me warmly and Brandon made quick phone calls to staff. Simon took me last minute and all by myself. Private tour. When I got back I called my wife, "I just rode a motorcycle through the Andes, through a cloud forest, through a paramo, to a small town call Coachi where we had the best food. Most I've ever laughed in one day." Simon and his brother Juan speak perfect English and they're hilarious. I felt perfectly at ease and safe the entire time. The helmets are walkie talkie connected so we could communicate all day. The paramo wasn't supposed to be part of the tour. Simon could tell I was excited about a new ecosystem not found in the USA, and we stopped to explore it as it was on the way. Snacks, coffee, dinner, entrance to the park, a motorcycle, all included in the package and it was so perfect. I wish every tour company was as amazing as these guys. Top tier! I'll ride with them again. This was the highlight of a long awaited trip. Once word gets out about these guys, they're going to be incredibly popular. I don't repeat vacation locations. I'll come back to Bogota just to explore more with them.

My guide Simon was knowledgeable and gregarious. He gave me lots of insight into the local culture and gave me additional tips after the ride. The owners were also very personable and helpful with tips for things to do and places to eat. I had a delightful lunch at Madre the following day as a result, which I never would have found on my own. I considered just renting a motorbike and going on my own, but I think the tour was the way to go. I felt safe the whole time and didn’t feel concerned riding a fair bit faster than the rest of traffic. The hike to La Chorrera was awesome. It’s only 1000 feet of elevation gain, but I devotedly felt if given the elevation. It was handy to have hiking boots for both the ride and hike. If I make it back to Bogota I will definitely try another one of their tours.

These guys are just pure epic on a gigantic scale. I cannot recommend enough going on a tour with Loco Moto. The most enthusiastic and helpful people, bristling with energy and more importantly, making sure you are fully set up and good to go on a trip of a lifetime. As for the trip (We did the one day mountain tour), this will well and truly blow your mind and leave you just wanting more time on a motorbike touring around jaw dropping landscapes. Be warned though, these trips will leave you wanting more! Amazing tour guides with a wealth of experience and local knowledge. It’s not just a motorbike tour, it’s a history lesson coupled with local customs and traditions. What these people don’t know about the land, isn’t worth knowing. Routes are epic, roads, dirt tracks and some riding through Bogota. I can guarantee that you will not regret going on a tour, whether that is a one day trip or multi-day tours. My personal Loco Moto experience started with a search for a 1 day (full day) adventure activity as I was going to be in Bogota for the weekend, and had an event on Sunday, but my saturday was wide open. Prior to my departure to Bogota, I searched around and quickly found Loco Moto and their website. I put their number in Whatsapp and texted them a couple of questions, and soon enough they (Brandon) answered all the queries I had. Their site was minimal but very functional, and the service offerings, ride options, and sincerity gave me the confidence to go with them. I booked a 1-day La Chorrera Waterfall Motorcycle Tour. I was able to easily perform all the transactions and waivers online. I was sent clear directions and instructions by Whatsapp and email. On Saturday 8.24.25, I showed up at the location at 8:55 AM, and was met by Rafael, who opened the door for me. He signed me in, and I got kitted with the necessary equipment (Jacket, Gloves, Helmet - with Sena headset). You can take your own equipment, but they do provide everything in the rate. It turned out that Rafael was our tour guide for the day and would be riding with us. There was one other rider for that route for the day, and we were shown our respective motorcycles (I upgraded for a fee), and left promptly at about 9:25 AM. Section 1: Rafael's reassuring voice was in our ears via the Sena headset, as he guided us out of the city and into the mountains east of Bogota. We rode for an hour steadily climbing the Andes before stopping at a roadside stall for some Arepas and Coffee. (Rafael's treat). Then we continued onwards till we reached the La Chorrera area. While others vehicles are restricted at some point, Loco Moto's agreements with park rangers allow us to get a little closer to the ranger station and ticket office. (The last couple of KMs to this station is extremely steep). Rafael guided us all the way with explicit instructions on braking, and maneuvering to our parking spot. Section 2: Hiking. From the ranger station Rafael led us on a hike along a path to see multiple falls in the park, cave of the monkeys, some paths behind waterfalls, and to the base of Colombia's tallest waterfall - the 590 meter La Chorrera falls. This trek/hike requires some intense climbing, and descending multiple times including crossing some rope bridges. The paths are slippery, but manageable. The total time spent on the hike was about 3 hours and we eventually came back to the ranger station where we had left our motorbikes. Section 3: We then rode south to the small city of Choachi where we ate lunch at a place called "La Cocina de V" that is situated diagonally across from Parque Principal de Choachi. (Literally the town center/square). Lunch once again was included in the fee. The food was great, the location was fantastic. Section 4: The adventure begins: After lunch we drove out of Choachi heading north, and was on paved roads for a while before we overheard Rafael's soothing voice on Sena headset. He said, "we are making a left turn here and we are going to climb and descend mountains twice on our way back to Bogota". Off we went from paved highway to unpaved roads, slick from all the rain that Bogota had gotten in the past few days, potholes filled with water, some deep as the Mariana trench. Soon we were passing construction trucks up the mountains, and facing oncoming traffic all in a single lane slick muddy terrain. It was epic. We drove past a ghost town of Siberia, La Calera, Cundinamarca, riding past the eerie abandoned factories such as Pueblo Fantasma and the lifeless city itself. Very shortly after that, we joined the highway and were back at the Loco Moto center by 6 PM, (slightly later than we were expected to return) where we unpacked our gear, met Brandon who is the CEO of Loco Moto, and some other friends. They were all the coolest people I have met in a long time. Rafael is an amazing guide and I'm sure others are too. If you are in Bogota, and know how to handle two wheels, go for Loco Moto.

I rented a motorbike from Loco Moto for 4 weeks in Colombia. It was a solo trip and the support I received surpassed my expectations. Branded and his wife helped me plan my route and solve any issues I had on the way. The Honda XRE300 was also great and I have made memories I will never forget. Truly My experience was beyond amazing. Your guide will meet your expectations and then some and then some more. You will see spots nobody will ever show you in bogota that is breathtaking. I don’t think there is any company comparable to how amazing the experience was at Loco moto and no matter the price ( which is VERY FAIR) The company can fit any preference or needs while maintaining an extremely friendly personable personality. If you are considering going on a motorcycle tour while in Bogota, Loco Moto is where your adventure starts. Brandon was extremely helpful with gear, motorbike setup and gave great insight into riding through Bogota before even taking off. Once we started the ride, everything just kept getting better. From having a wealth of knowledge of the local towns and Colombia’s rich history to taking me on some of the most incredible roads I’ve ridden anywhere in the world; I was blown away. One of the best trips I’ve ever done! The 4-day tour was truly an experience of a lifetime. Brandon curated an unforgettable journey, combining both on- and off-road routes that were absolutely breathtaking. Beyond the riding itself, the itinerary included immersive activities that gave us a real sense of Colombia’s rich history and culture. It was a true masterpiece from start to finish. What made it even better was how well-prepared everything was. They provided all the gear we needed, including a headset, which was a lifesaver since we came pretty unprepared. Me and my friend ended up booking with Brandon for Dec of 2024. He was helpful in any questions we had and a wizard in planning out the addition of 3 more days onto the Tatacoa Desert 4 day trip. Our Guide was Richard. He made the entire experience very enjoyable with great suggestions, recommendations, knowledge of the area and his willingness to suffer our attempts at speaking Spanish. Had a blast dude! And would highly recommend as a moto tour guide! We had such a good time we added three days on the fly and Brandon made it happen to see Salento, Nevado Del Ruiz and an unbelievable Wax palm forest by offroad. Epic is an understatement! Truly a masterpiece of a itinerary. Brandon has done his homework with this amazing adventure 21day tour he created . He guided me safely through some of the most beautiful, challenging terrain iv ever experienced on a motorcycle. The motorbikes were new, well maintained and easy to ride. All equipment was provided with bluetooth intercom. Iv learned much about the country, people, politics and environment through his knowledge. Brandon was very considerate and helpful when times of need. He truly cares for his customers. I hired a motorbike from Loco Moto to do a self-guided solo 4-day tour to the Tatacoa Desert. From start to finish Brandon & Mary were super responsive. They gave me a detailed map and guide for their route, which gave me everything I needed to do it alone. The route was amazing, with well researched roads and tracks that made for an epic trip! Day 2 of the ride was one of the best days riding I’ve ever done - it had a bit of everything, from stunning scenery to roads and tracks that were great fun and a good challenge. The motorbike was fantastic, very well maintained (with fresh rubber and it had just been serviced) and perfect for the route. Get a trip booked with Loco Moto, or do what I did and go it alone!

Highly recommend renting a motorcycle or getting a guided tour from loco Moto. Customer service is top-notch. B went out of his way to set me up for a safe and successful ride. He was able to provide me with a scenic route to consider which would take me on a fantastic ride. He walked me through step-by-step ways of the land essentially the dos and don’ts while riding a motorcycle in Bogota or Columbia. My first time visiting Bogota. I wanted to visit salt Cathedral, however, was having a hard time finding anything that was not an organized guided tour. I wanted to explore independently and in my own speed while having the ability to stop along the way. The team at Loco Moto was fantastic. Very communicative and very accommodating. Five star people!! Five star service!! Thanks for making my trip amazing!!

Today, I did the 1 Day - La Chorrera Waterfall Motorcycle Tour. This was the most exciting activity I ever done! The fall was magnificient and the landscapes I saw, during the motorcycle ride in the mountains, were breathtaking. Brandon, my guide for this tour, was amazing! During the ride, we were constantly using the radios; it's such a great tool for communication. I felt a lot saver being able to be in touch with Brandon at any time. I also learn a lot about the history of Colombia, of Bogota and this area. I had the Honda honda XRE 300 for the ride. Everything when perfectly; the motorbikes are very carefully maintained. This tour is worth every penny and I would love to go back to Bogota for a multi days tour with Loco Moto!

I had an amazing time riding around Colombia with Mr. Brandon. Mi amigos and I did the 4-day Bosques de Pandora tour and got to see some truly unique and incredible sights while riding a great mix of twisty paved and unpaved gravel roads. The Pandora Forest and Caverna El Oro were particularly beautiful highlights of the trip. The motorcycles and riding equipment provided by Loco Moto was in great shape and the ability to communicate via Sena headsets while riding made navigation stress-free while allowing the guide to tell us about the country we were traveling through. One of my favorite parts of the trip was getting to experience the culture in Villa de Lleyva and El Peñon. Brandon has done a fantastic job of getting to know the local residents and building a community in the places we visited. Whether it was playing bolirana at the town watering hole or sharing some rum with the folks at the lodge, I felt like I got to see a part of Colombia that few do. Overall it was an awesome trip and I’ll be back for more tours with Loco Moto!

I booked the "Tatacoa desert tour" and I really had a blast. Richard is a great guide, apart from leading the tour and giving information he also tried to accommodate as many local experiences as possible, including typical foods and drinks. The gear and motorbike were in good condition (helmet, gloves, jacket and pants - you should bring your own boots). I used the XR190L which was perfect for the mix of tarmac, gravel roads and sand that we encountered on this tour. I would definitely recommend! If I ever come back, I'll consider doing another tour with Loco Moto.

My wife and I just did the 4-day Pandora Forest and Rappelling tour with Loco Moto - my first tour with Loco Moto and my wife's third...so far. What an unforgettable experience! While I've ridden motorcycles on-and-off for over 20 years, it has always been on paved roads in North America, so this was my first time on an adventure motorbike and my first time riding on dirt/rocky roads. Brandon (tour leader) couldn't have made me feel more comfortable - the helmet-communication system allowed us to talk while riding (a total game changer) and I never felt pushed to do something I wasn't comfortable trying. And man was it fun! I'm already shopping for an adventure motorbike for home, but we don't have anything in Ontario Canada that can compare the twisty roads and jaw-dropping scenery that Brandon took us on. We had the pleasure of having 2 Loco Moto guides on our tour, and I can't explain how much fun Brandon and Richard were, and how great guides and hosts they are. They made the non-riding time as much fun as the rides. The Pandora Forest was enchanted, the 475-foot rappelling down into a cave 😯 was mind-blowing (never felt scared or unsafe at any time). And the access to the local culture and natural beauty would have not been possible without this tour. We did a 1-day moto tour with a different tour company (from a different city) on this same trip, and the communication and quality of the motorbikes, gear and equipment at Loco Moto was noticeably better. We'll be back as soon as we can to try another tour!

We rented a Honda 300 with soft panniers and a trunk from Loco Moto Tours, and the motorbike was in great condition. From the moment we picked it up, we had everything we needed. The gear they provided was even nicer than what we have at home! But the real standout value from renting with Brandon is the route planning assistance. He helped us map out an incredible 7-day ride, taking all the guesswork out of navigating the roads. Thanks to his guidance, we rode through remote areas with peace of mind, knowing we wouldn’t hit any dead ends. Brandon even offered suggestions for proposal locations, and we got engaged during our ride in Nevado del Ruiz! His main mission, whether renting to you or taking you on a tour, is to make sure you enjoy Colombia to the fullest and fall in love with the country, just like he has. I booked a 4 day tour from Bogota to the Tatacoa desert and it was probably one of the coolest things I have ever done. Brandon My guide was exceptional in every aspect, from being able to answer questions about Columbian culture, history, general knowledge and had insight into many different interesting things about Columbian motorcycle culture. His office is easy to get to and in a safe location. Traveling from northern Canada my Spanish is non existent but didn't have an issue as everything was handled, (Checking into hotel/hostels, purchasing passes to attractions like the pool in the grey desert and star gazing). I purchased the upgrade for XRE300 and it was nearly brand new and in exceptional shape. Mechanically I had no issues or concerns and the motorbike handled like a dream. I enjoyed myself so much that I actually extended my trip an extra day to go to Nevado del Luiz. Along the route the roads go from gorgeous twin black paved roads to hard pack gravel giving a really fun mix of offroading, almost trail riding then back again to perfectly smooth twisty back and forth paved blacktop. I could go on for hours about the natural beauty of the country and the views/vantage points you see. If I could giver higher than 5 stars I would. I cannot recommend LocoMotos tour enough and I cant wait to go back and do another route!

Went solo on the off-road oriented trip with Richard and took the Honda 300, and it was one of the best day trips I've been on! Spent a lot of time in the dirt and mud, exploring the valleys and villages east of Bogotá, and the ride was an absolute blast. The views in the valleys were incredible, Richard is a chef and took me to the best burger in Choachí, and getting to know him in the ride was a treat. The motorbike was perfectly suited for the ride and rental gear is in good condition. I adventure-ride extensively and I came back grinning and wiped out, and I'm positive the multi-day trips are even better. Stop reading and go already!

Sorry the novel. I’d give 10 stars if I could. One of the best tours I’ve taken anywhere. I did the one-day Mountains & Valleys tour and absolutely made me want to come back for more. Colombia is such a beautiful country. Insane views the entire time. People are so friendly. So much history here. Plenty of paved riding. The perfect amount of off-road. The tour I did is great even if you haven’t ridden much off-road before. You pick it up quick. We made stops in small pueblos and little stalls serving local food/drinks...and super easy to stop any time you need. Bathroom, snack, photos, whatever. Brandon, the owner, is great to ride with. Especially great if you’re primarily an English speaker. So knowledgeable of the region and knows little details that make certain places so memorable. He's super friendly. I don’t normally ride with comms in my helmet, but was great to be able to chat since we rode all day. Loco Moto leads Spanish speaking tours also. Everyone in the company loves riding and it shows. That's huge in my book. The motorbikes are all in great condition. Since they do get ridden off-road, they may show it aesthetically, but they clearly take good care of the motorbikes. And every motorbike has a name. A loose bolt and they’re on it. These are motorbikes with stories. Highly suggest doing a tour (or rental) and adding your own story. Such good vibes all around! Can’t wait to come back to Bogota just to do one of the longer tours.
