The rental shop fulfilled a decades long dream of mine to explore this magical island. The guide's insight of the island is absolutely priceless. Accommodations, local restaurants, but most of all the guide's knowledge of the back roads and secret spots resulted in a once in a lifetime experience for our 6-day tour. The guide's flexibility in terms of our riding skills, schedule adjustments, restaurant recommendations by old friends, stops at moto shops to pick up vented gear, etc. was beyond appreciated. The 450 Himalayans were perfect for the terrain, whether off-road or the high quality paved roads. Our last day exploring Isla La Maddalena was a perfect ending to the trip. We did a 6-day / 1500 km tour and experienced all regions of Sardegna. It's difficult to describe with words how great this adventure was. We discussed with the rental shop that we wanted approximately 20% off-road and 80% on pavement, and they accommodated this perfectly. Their expert knowledge of so many back roads in all the regions is what makes the rental shop the best moto tour choice for this island. The accommodations were all very good, and choice of restaurants provided an exceptional gastronomic tour of the regional specialties (especially the agritourism farm houses!). The Himalayan 450 is very good for these tours, and the condition of the pavement of 90% of the asphalt roads we rode was excellent with lots of grip. Great experience, always on motorcycle both on the road and off-road. Amazing landscape views, food and most of all People! The guide is a passionate guy who loves to share his passion for his land and also is great in customizing the trip based on the different expectations and backgrounds of the attendees. Riding with the rental shop wasn't just a motorcycle tour! I wanted to try the Himalayan for quite some time, and this was the perfect opportunity to ride it both on paved roads and off-road. As a beginner rider, I really appreciated how the guide carefully tailored the trip to match my skill level, making me feel comfortable and confident throughout. We explored parts of the island that would be hard to discover on your own - riding through the 'sugherete' forests, along stunning scenic roads, and stopping at authentic 'agriturismi' where local people preserve their traditions and treat you to amazing food. The landscapes were breathtaking, and I'm still dreaming about them. This wasn't just a motorcycle tour; it was a true journey into the hidden gems of the island, with the chance to connect with local people and experience a way of life that's becoming rare in today's globalised society. Without question the best money I have spent in years. Seeing the island by motorcycle is the most spectacular and immersive way to experience it, and doing so with an incredible local guide made that experience much richer and more memorable than I could ever achieve on my own. I was lucky enough to tour the island for 5 days with the rental shop, both on and off road. The street riding was the most fun I've ever had on pavement, and the off road riding was as good as it gets anywhere in the world.
