Located not far from Kilimanjaro International Airport is Arusha, Tanzania, one of the more beautiful places that the country offers. With the wealth of scenic attractions, it’s easy to see why. The city’s National Park is one of the more notable.
Only a short drive away from the city center, it features Mount Meru, Momella Lakes, and many other natural attractions. These can be more than enough to take up a few days. If you want something surrounded by forest, however, then Lake Duluti could be a more appealing option.
Alongside enjoying being on the lake, you can spend time exploring the forest. You might want to spend some time taking in the country’s culture. Spending time anywhere there can help with that, although Arusha’s Cultural Heritage Centre may be better recommended.
Shanga, another nearby location, can also help with that. While you’ll need to visit at Christmas time to properly take advantage of that, it’ll be an appealing way to see some annual traditions. If you’re more of an animal farm, however, it could be worth traveling 45km away to visit the Meserani Snake Park.
As the name suggests, it’s a reptile park full of different snake-related attractions. While you’re visiting Arusha, Tanzania, it’s worth getting a motorcycle hire, or a scooter hire. It’ll be much easier to get around, and you wouldn’t have to spend too much on it.
You’ll also have a lot of freedom in getting around. That’s especially true if you want to explore some other cities. Monduli, Kingori, Poli, Namanga, and Moshi can all be recommended.
