100% recommend. Shopkeeper was super friendly. 9USD for a daily scooter rental. They keep your original passport and return upon the motorbike coming back. Took a copy of my passport, which she gave to me with a copy of the bike’s registration and insurance so I could have on me. Loaned me a helmet as well. Shop closes at 1700 but you have option to rent overnight as well.

Style is hands down the one and only place to hire/organise your Laos motorbike! The motorbikes are in great condition, the service prior and during our trip was spot on. Communication fast and most importantly a trip without any dramas! Were able to change our return location spontaneously without extra charge. Their google maps files are a game changer. Bikes: 2x Honda XR 150 'the tractor's Period: 4 weeks Trip: Vientiane - Pakse; a big detour though; 4000kms.

Great experience renting a Royal Enfield Himalayan 450cc to ride out of Vientiane and explore Laos to the north for 2 days. Went around Huoi Mo area on the north end of Nam Ngum Reservoir and had plenty of sections of worn-out un-repaired road to get a good feel for the motorbikes off-road capabilities. The next day had spectacular views of the Vang Vieng mountainous area with a refreshing Blue Lagoon swim and plenty of scenic view stops. Made 2 longer stops for heavy rain but all in all the Himalayan performed superb. Both ways, north and south Google Maps kept trying to direct us to the toll road even though I selected motorcycle route, avoid tolls and highways. Motorcycles are not allowed on the toll roads in Laos. The staff at Style Motorbikes was very helpful and made a 4-day/3-night trip to Laos a good experience.

Well… where should I even start. From the first moment I walked into the shop in Luang Prabang, I felt more like a friend than a customer. Ben and the team were absolutely amazing. Professional, logical, kind, and genuinely caring people who truly love what they do. I got the feeling that they didn’t just rent me a motorbike, they supported me throughout my whole journey. Riding alone through the mountains, sometimes without connection can be challenging, but knowing that the team had my back made me feel secure and confident the whole way. Absolutely fantastic experience, as always with Style! I’m very familiar with these guys as Style is usually my go-to in Vietnam, so renting from them in Laos was a no brainer. I took the Kawasaki KLX 230 for a week. Covered around 700km without any issues, the motorbike is perfectly maintained, rides exactly as it should. Laos roads are challenging, so having a reliable motorbike that’s maintained properly is crucial. In addition, the guys from Style helped me plan a rough itinerary before setting off, along with a handful of tips for riding in Laos. Highly recommend!

I wanted to do the Pakse Loop, but I wasn’t feeling confident riding a motorbike alone. So I went with Khoi from Style Motorbikes, and what a great choice! Usually people do the tour on their own, but having an easy rider changes everything: no stress on unfamiliar roads, you can fully enjoy every view and stop. The trip was full of incredible moments: temples tucked into nature, stunning waterfalls, authentic villages, and memorable encounters, like Captain Hook sharing traditions and local coffee with passion and humor. The roads through mountains and rice fields are breathtaking, and the waterfall stops often make you feel completely alone in nature. I had no problems with my rental here. I always search on Google for motorbike rental shop reviews before I decided where to hire from. This business had many good reviews and I am happy to say that I would also recommend them I hired a motorbike for 24 hours. The staff were friendly. They kept my passport as a deposit (I was apprehensive to do this but I guess its just how they do things here in Laos) The lady added me on WhatsApp, made a video of the motorbike and sent it to me as proof of the condition when hired. I took photos myself and sent them to her. The motorbike had no problems and I returned it the next day and was given my passport back immediately no questions asked. Only small issue I had was the helmets they have for use are quite small for European size heads🤣! Definitely recommend this place though. Thanks

Review — TVS Motorcycle Rental, Vientiane, Laos After testing several motorcycles at TVS Motorcycle Rental in Vientiane, Laos, I decided to rent the TVS Max — and it was the perfect choice for Laos. The TVS Max has four shock absorbers plus a suspension spring, which makes it very solid and stable on bad roads. The motorbike came with off-road tyres, and they performed very well on sand, holes, mud, and broken roads. I rode on sandy tracks, wet muddy roads, mountain roads, and long flat highways — and the motorbike handled everything without problems. My route was long and demanding: from Vientiane west across Laos to the Chinese border, then to Phou Samosoum (the highest mountain in Laos), through the Thakhek Loop, down to the 4000 Islands (Don Det), and finally back to Vientiane. Over this entire journey, the TVS Max proved reliable and strong. It’s clearly built for hot climates and rough conditions. I rode mostly alone, cruising around 90 km/h, sometimes up to 100 km/h. Uphill it’s a bit slow, but on flat roads I was able to overtake many lorries — as long as I had enough space. This motorbike is not about speed; it’s about reliability. Don’t take risks with overtaking and don’t expect fast acceleration. Ride calmly and let your experience guide you. Some advice from my trip: Tighten and check your chain at least once a week. Oil the chain every 3 days or even more often on bad roads. Bad roads wear the chain quickly — don’t forget this. Avoid big holes and deep sand whenever possible. Ride slowly through rough sections. The rental place was honest and professional. I paid a fair price, the motorbike was in good condition, and I was happy to return the same motorbike after many days on the road. Overall, I strongly recommend the TVS Max for Laos. It’s stable, tough, easy to handle, and made for exactly these kinds of roads. Other motorbikes can work too, but right now, if you want something reliable for riding all over Laos, my recommendation is TVS Max — especially because of the 4 shock absorbers and off-road tyres. Definetely recommended for a great quality price motocross. I have done go and back from Vientiane to Luang Prabang and many parts of the road you need a good motocross for off roads. The communication was very good and they give me back the deposit inmediately. The yamaha pg1 was quiet new and it consumes very little gas. I spent around 11 € for the full trip and counting that you pass over mountains and you have to accelerate and break most of the time because of the path holes. On top of that they give you 2 motorcycle inner tube for emergency. And considering the roads you probably need it. Many thanks

Rented honda xr 190. It wasn't sure where i was going. They downloaded google maps for lao on to my phone. Went to vien vieng. Lots of rain big potholes going and lots of dust coming back. Perfect motorbike for the trip. Would recommend carrying a good dusk mask or 2.

Hired a scooter for 4 days in Vientiane. $9 per day for a small automatic. That’s all you need around town. Easy process to get started. Had to leave passport as deposit but that’s standard practice and no issues returning it at the end. The motorbike was in ok condition and they put 1L or so fuel in at the start. Easy to fill up in Vientiane with petrol station attendants. Just tell them “full” or how much Kip you want to spend.

Very professional rental company with great motorbikes and excellent support! We did a one way north east of Luang Prabang then down to Vientiane. We had a couple mechanical issues along the way and their hotline provided immediate help and our issues were resolved efficiently. We also rented from this company in Vietnam and had the same great experience. They provide route guidance and have full gear available for rent at an affordable price. Motorcycle is such a great way to see this country and I highly recommend this company!

I sent a message on Sunday about renting a scooter - even though they were closed, they responded promptly, which was a great first impression! Their prices are standard, but what really sets them apart is the quality of their motorbikes. The scooter I rented was in excellent condition - great brakes, solid tires, and even came with half a tank of gas! After checking out several other rental shops, none of them came close to the condition of the motorbikes here. It's refreshing to rent from a place where you don't have to worry about breakdowns or being taken advantage of. I've rented from five different places across the country, and this was the only one that provided the proper paperwork in case of a police stop - huge peace of mind! The lady who helped me was incredibly friendly and patient, even letting me test a couple of motorbikes before deciding. What a treat it was to ride a scooter with new shocks! Overall, an amazing experience - I'd definitely rent here again and can't recommend them highly enough.

It was our last day in town and we decided to rent a motorbike to get around. A lot of the rental places online seemed a bit sketchy but this one had good reviews so we gave it a try … and we’re so glad we did! The lady who helped us was super friendly, helpful, and made the whole process quick and easy. The motorbikes here also looked to be in much better condition than a lot of other places we’ve seen. The one we rented was one of the better we’ve had in Laos, really comfortable and ran well. Overall, it was a great experience from start to finish. Definitely recommend if you’re looking to rent a motorbike!

This was my second time renting from this shop. The motorcycle was well maintained, and I rode it for more than 10 days without any problems. Best experience. The guys at the shop are friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Their motorbikes are relatively new as the Lao shops just opened. The highlight of my trip was meeting the owner on the road. He was doing a recon mission for thier excellent digital map. They care about the road conditions and giving you enough information to make informed decisions about your routes. This is going above and beyond your typical motorbike rental place. Awesome stuff. They take feedback seriously and I'm sure they will be Lao's premium motobike rental company soon. Be careful about one way rentals if you change your plans and Styles is holding your passport. It will be impossible to take the train between Vientiane and Laung Prabang this is train regulations they are really strict. Best to leave a cash deposit for maximum flexibility.

Really good service and good bikes! We rented a TVS Rockz for 7 days and did a road trip in North Laos (Vientiane -> Vang Vieng -> Luang Prabang via Kasi Pass), the motorbike handled well the roads but I would recommend a higher cc if you wanna do the Kasi Pass as it's very steep and the 125cc didn't did well on it. The shop also told us we could ship back the motorbike by bus from LP to Vientiane and they waited it after they closing time to receive it. Thanks for it and I recommend renting a motorbike here.

If you need to rent a motor-bike to ride to other place except for Vientiane, I highly recommend this store. All of the staffs are very friendly. By chance I found out this shop. I think it's hard to find this kind of motor-bike store to allow you to ride to other area outside of Vientiane. This time I rode to Vang Vieng. It's shame I couldn't go all the way to the Luang Prabang. You can see your the beautiful nature with your naked eye. Good luck.

Random chose the service from Google, experienced and concluded that this try was way more WORTH it. Highly recommended to everyone. Regarding the service, we were happy with the motorbike condition, with two helmets and one liter of petrol included. There is contract document which will be very useful when you meet the police (we were caught twice but it's fine thanks to the document check). BUT what I truly appreciated is The Sister working there. She is very very friendly, sweet and helpful. She is willing to answer my irrelevant questions, guides us how to buy train ticket, helps us to book the taxi and so many other handy tips to travel in Laos. Especially, when I nearly lost my phone on the taxi, she was the the key person who helped me to contact. If without her help, I could not write this review now 😅🙏🙏 That's why you can totally put faith in this service provider, rent their motorbike and enjoy your trip.

Texted him over the WhatsApp number provided in google, worked out perfectly. Even got a bigger motorbike than we talked a out on WhatsApp for same price, very nice of him. Bike was in perfect condition and ran very smoothly throughout the entire trip, had no issues at all. You can rent a locker for the stuff you don’t need in your motorbike trip for very little money. Straps for luggage were provided to us aswell (we had a motorbike with a small carrier) Yes, you will have to leave your passport just like everywhere what sucks(or you can leave a deposit of the amount a new motorbike would cost)so if you want to rent a motorbike go for someone you can trust or don’t do it at all, as for this guy, I can say you can rent a motorbike without fearing any issues at all. 100% would come back and can recommend him.
