Super simple and easy rental experience with the rental shop. Texted via messaging app, got a good price and went for it. They picked me up from where I was staying, organised everything including the permit and gave me a scooter in great condition. Didn't have any problems, and they always were available for questions. Dropped me off at the place I was staying for the last night as well. They even offer airport transfer! All in all would definitely do this again. Hassle-free, easy, good prices.

Great rental company. I booked a Royal Enfield Himalayan for a week. My Kilimanjaro adventure ended early, and my arrival time in Zanzibar changed. The guys met me at the airport, quickly processed the paperwork, and helped tie down my luggage. The motorcycle was in good working order, no issues, but the helmet they gave me was old, with a lot of scratches on the visor. I spent a week riding around the island and was stopped by the police twice. They checked my documents and suggested the best place to buy gas. I had no problems with the motorcycle. On the way back, they met me at the airport again, signed the paperwork, gave me my deposit, and helped me carry my luggage to the airport. I recommend the rental shop.

Great cheap 125cc iron trusty steed, the man at the rental shop is very honest, I enjoyed my time with the scooter, was only about $20 a day for the rental which is a fair price, bare in mind the Zanzibar government requires you to have a $10 permit, but the rental shop takes care of it and even encourages you to Google it. Very good scooter and in good condition, they're not too fussy about little scratches etc which is good too, see you again.

Rented a Scooter for 10 days. I went for delivery and pick up by the hotel, It worked like a charm. The first scooter I rented by the hotel for 25$/day was crap. The rental shop's Scooter rate for 10 days was way cheaper than 25$/day. And Scooter itself? Of course it was second hand, but it was great! I would not hesitate to come back next time. And that's the best rating there is!

Perfect place to rent a motorbike. I got a Honda 250 for 10 days to explore the island, delivery and return went smoothly. I also could return it at the airport to take my flight right after. Would be happy to use their services when I return to Zanzibar.

We were staying in Paje (East of the island) and had arranged for drop off and collection of a Honda XR 250 at our resort. The motorbike was dropped off on time and was extremely reliable. They had also already arranged my driving permit so I didn't need to worry about that. It allowed us to travel the island day and night with no issues. They also provide local support if needed. Collection was also easy and on time before we left for the airport. Also good communication throughout. Excellent service overall and would definitely use again.

Rented a scooter from the rental shop in Stone Town and it was a really smooth experience. The motorbike was in great shape, everything worked perfectly. They even delivered it straight to my hotel and picked it up afterwards - super convenient. The team is really friendly and easygoing, and you can definitely negotiate a good price with them. Highly recommend if you want to get around Zanzibar easily!

Amazing experience with the rental shop. Very quick rental process, friendly, flexible and helpful owner and superb service overall. Unbeatable price as well. We could leave our bags for storage which was helpful. They have website to check for prices and you can book it online. Scooter was not new but mighty and we had no problems. In general I really recommend to rent for longer and explore whole island on scooter like local. We discovered that east and south side of island are most scenic, relaxing and calmest to drive.

Great service! I would definitely recommend using this company. Abdul is easy to reach via WhatsApp and he arranged all the foreigner driving permits for you. The price was very fair and we rented a good scooter (Honda Click) for 9 days to tour the island. He is willing to arrange pick up times and locations which suit you. (PS. WhatsApp him for all arrangements)

Excellent service, great motorbike. Received and returned right across the airport entrance gate, safari cafe is 1 building away from the junction, Google maps wasn't precise in my case. Issa is a very nice guy and he gave me tips and helped with everything. I even got stopped by some cops/soldiers (brown uniform, not police I think) who tried to ask for a bribe and once I agreed to get a a formal fine (whatever the offense) they just let me go (no bookable offence in my case, I stopped and followed all instructions except refusing to pay cash bribe). The local driving permit by happy Bikes was fine, even in a photo in my phone (couldn't find the original paper).

Best motorbike rental all over Zanzibar. 1. They have really good road motorbikes, I think only Happy motorbikes have road motorbikes 2. They deliver the motorbike wherever you want for free in just for some time 3. The price is smart for the rental period 4. I am a semi pro rider and I could made 300-700 wat intervals with that motorbike, and made 1000km in 12 days, so this kind of motorbike is enough for your workouts and also for exploring the island. 5. They even called me and wondering if it was everything good with a motorbike and if i needed something-5 star service-amazing!

I rented a Royal Enfield Himalayan from the Arusha branch. They were able to arrange pickup and drop off at KIA airport which was very nice as I had transport during my entire stay of almost a month. They were friendly and reachable at any time. The motorbike was well maintained and comfortable. A great experience, I highly recomend it!

The rental shop offers very nice and friendly service, with the best prices and very good reviews. I rented a scooter for 11 days at a very good price, and all went well, covering 500kms on the island. You can rent with the rental shop with your eyes closed😎

Amazing experience with Happy Bike Zanzibar! My boyfriend and I spent 10 days in Zanzibar, we rent two motorbikes to visit the island and we really enjoyed it! Issa has been very kind and helpful. The mountain motorbikes were functional and we could cycle 20-30km per day :) Amazing places, amazing people! Very recommended!

We rented a Royal Enfield 350 for 6 days at East African Motorcycles. Having a motorcycle gave us so much more freedom to discover the island, to plan day trips for diving, for our cooking class, for tours, a visit to stone town and reaching restaurants a bit further away from our isolated accommodation. It is the perfect means of transportation on the island. Communication with Olga of East African Motorcycles was quick, smooth and professional and everything was arranged remotely: inquiry, ID, local drivers license, payment and deposit. Rental fee for the last day was calculated to the hour instead of for a full day, which we thought was nice. We stayed at the east side of Zanzibar so we chose the option to have the motor delivered to the hotel and picked up afterwards, on both occasions the driver was not ‘polé polé’ but right on time. Exceptionally reliable and highly recommended!

My wife and I spent 3 days in Stone Town this August and although the city was already amazing by itself, I must say that what made this an even more incredible experience was our option to take 2 tours with Happy Bike Zanzibar. Specifically, we were incredibly lucky to meet Abdalla, a very special person who was our guide to Prison Island/ Nakupenda, and in City Tour and Spice Tour (and they also helped us booking and arranging our transport to another region of Zanzibar). Happy Bike Zanzibar is a really honest company with fair prices, and Abdalla was always taking good care of us, making sure our experience was unforgettable.
