We rented a scooter for the day and had a great experience with the staff. They were super friendly and gave us lots of helpful tips and recommendations for exploring Quepos and Manuel Antonio. We even got a map with different places to visit, including free parking spots, which made everything really easy. They also pointed us to some amazing hidden spots where we were able to see wildlife like sloths, stick birds, toucans, and more. Such a cool experience!! I would highly recommend renting a scooter here if you're visiting the area. And as a bonus, their dog Mango is super cute 🐶

I rented a Honda CRF300 for 3 days and explored Manuel Antonio on a self-guided motorcycle tour in Costa Rica. The motorbike itself was reliable and comfortable, especially on longer stretches, and handled gravel sections better than expected. What stood out most was how easy everything felt-from communication to pickup. The team gave useful advice about routes and conditions without overcomplicating things, which made the trip smoother. My highlight was waterfalls, which really made the whole experience worth it. The best part of the service was fast service, simple but important details that made a difference. If you're considering a Honda CRF300 Rally rental or similar for an adventure motorcycle rental in Costa Rica, this is a solid option. I'd rent from them again.

I rented my scooter from Mango Scooter and everything worked perfectly! The booking process was simple, and the service was very friendly and reliable. What I especially liked was that they even offer a pick-up and drop-off service, which makes everything much more convenient. The scooter was in excellent condition and riding it was a lot of fun. They also offer many other services, which I think is really great. You can tell they put a lot of value on good customer service. I can definitely recommend Mango Scooter and would rent from them again anytime!

If you're thinking about getting the scooter, just do it. You get to go anywhere you want and see many more things that you wouldn't be able to see. All the hidden entrances to beaches and beautiful landscapes to rain forest. Plus parking is a breeze. The staff was very very nice and helpful. Just an all-around great experience worth every penny. If you need a scooter, don’t bother checking anywhere else - this is the place to go! The price, service, quality, communication, and overall process were all incredibly smooth, which is exactly what you want while on holiday. Special kudos to Marlon, who went above and beyond. Not only did he rent me an excellent scooter but he also took the time to give me a few refresher lessons to help rebuild my confidence. He even picked me up from my hotel and dropped me off (despite it not being included), shared an interactive google map with all the best hidden local spots, checked in to make sure I was doing fine and was genuinely kind throughout the whole experience. Humm WOW!!! Where do I even begin? By far the best way to get around the Manuel Antonio area! Those off road scooters are just awesome...I went everywhere with it : on the beach, on secret trails and up the mountains for the best views and adventures! But that's not even the best part... Marlon!!! This guy is THE man. Always on the phone, ready to help, recommendations, secret spots, booking tours, getting you out of trouble, you name it. When you book the scooter for a couple days, he will first give you a scooter tour showing you all the spots, where to park and how to get to the more hidden areas. Then he gives you a PDF documents with ALL the best recommendations for restaurants, activities and places to go explore on the scooter. And like this isn't enough, you even get it on an interactive map on google! 110% worth every penny! Customer service at it's best. I was just looking for a easy way to get around, but I found the best adventures, I'm seeing so much more of this area then what I would get from searching the internet and tourist agencies! The best scooter rental in the area, hands down! Starting with the owner. Very knowledgeable and a motorcycle enthusiast 🏍. It was our first time riding a scooter, but he took the time to explain the basics to ensure our safety and enjoyment. The equipment (the scooters) are in very good condition, with USB chargers, all in perfect working order. Marlon shared tons of suggestions for places to visit and explore. It was definitely the highlight of our visit. Super fun...

Overall, I was pretty happy with this place though there are some caveats that you should know about. Make sure to bring your driver's license. You do not need a motorcycle license even for moto, but you do need a regular driver's license for all of the options. We rented the motorcycles for 24 hours to go to two places specifically, Castillo and Nuevo Arenal. Both of these places are around the lake, just in different spots, both were very beautiful in their own way. The motos were in good condition, both aesthetically and mechanically. For 24 hours it costs $70 for a 150cc, manual moto. For most people, it would probably make sense to rent the scooter instead because you're also getting 150cc but for $50. So here are some caveats. The distance / locations that you're allowed to go are quite limited for example to the West you are not allowed to go past Nuevo Arenal and to the east you're not even allowed to go past the town limits. The purpose of these motorbikes is just to see the town itself and go to different main tourist attractions in the area. The second caveat is that if you damage any parts of the motorbike, even slightly, you will be expected to buy new parts. I dropped the motorbike one time and it ended up costing me an extra $210 to replace various parts. The owners take a very good look at the motorbike upon return, so when they ask you to take video beforehand, I would take it seriously. The contract is also pretty clear that any damage you go to the motorbike you will be responsible for so if you total the scooter you will be out $3,000 at the total the motorcycle you'll be out $4,500. Any hospital related injuries sustained from riding they will cover. Overall, I think that the couple are honest and the rentals are well maintained. However I would only rent from them if I were confident that I would not damage any of their rentals.

Such a cool experience. Marlon was super helpful and being able to contact him through WhatsApp was great. The roads between Manuel Antonio and Quepos were a bit tricky if you’ve never drove a scooter/motorcycle before but besides that section the roads weren’t a problem. Definitely recommend the off-road scooter because there were some side streets that were not fully paved. Fitting two bigger dudes on one was a bit tricky, might recommend getting separate scooters.

We rented the motorbike for 2 days and everything went smoothly. The lady who rented it to us was very friendly. We were considering going here because of the bad reviews, but we gave them a chance and I believe that they're trying to make the business better. Taking a video when you receive a vehicle is recommended for any rental. It's gonna save you lots of time and trouble when you return it.

Awesome scooter and great service. This was the best way to get around in Quepos (every two minute cab ride is like 10 bucks!!!). You can see everything Quepos has to offer when you want to see it. Scooters are the best way to get around in town, traveling to the beaches and the nearby forests. Even took a few longer trips to nearby attractions. These scooters are nice and affordable. Service back and forth to hotel on pick up and drop off. Made our trip so much fun.

Renting a scooter from Mango Scoot was a great way to get around Manuel Antonio. The scooters were in excellent condition especially considering the condition of the roads. Having a scooter made transportation much more convenient compared to relying on taxis which overcharge like crazy. Also, the private tour is highly recommended. Marlon took us to areas of Manuel Antonio we wouldn’t have discovered on our own.

Unreal time with Mango Scoot Was such a help and went above and beyond. Scooter was perfect to get around everywhere and definitely made a difference. Mango also helped us so much with transportation around Costa Rica and the driver was the nicest person:). Good price from Manuel Antonio to Monte Verde. I would highly recommend this as it’s very hard to get around if you’re travelling with surfboards. Thank you so much 🙏🏽

We had no booking, just walked in and asked if there was availability. Paco sorted us out with no hassles, no bartering. He was a really good guide as well. After being in la fortuna a couple days, we'd seen all the sights and just wanted some fast paced ATV driving, and he delivered it. Double checking every now and then to ensure we were happy. The place was a bit hard to find at first (it’s the big red gate), but the experience was amazing. The scooter was perfect for riding around Manuel Antonio. Plenty of power to get up the hills and strong brakes for going back down. Would love to try again sometime!

We rented a scooter from MangoScoot for an entire week & Marlon was awesome!! He was very helpful, we were always able to reach him at any point in the day & he was usually the one to reach out to us with information. He showed us a beach where we could ride the scooter onto & (kind of on accident) gave us a really awesome first day in Costa Rica! Highly recommend using this company for scooter rentals in Manuel Antonio!! Very easy to work with.

We had a really good experience with Moto Rental. We rented 4 atvs and 1 side by side. The guides were great and the equipment great also. Two of us had never ridden at all and were very much at home on the entire ride after the guides told them what they needed to know. Just be safe, treat the motorbikes with respect and listen and follow the guides lead and you will have a great time taking in a lot of great scenery during the ride.

Really nice trip through the mountains. Great views guaranteed! We also saw a few animals and we were really lucky with the weather. The guide was also very nice and pleasant. Would be cool if he could speak English. We were 4 people in the whole tour so two vehicles following the guide. Recommendation: take the Side by Side Buggy. The Seats are really comfortable and also to take pictures during the drive it's the better choice. In general more fun to drive with especially if your are two persons. Another advantage - no helmet needed = better view and not so hot.

What an amazing experience and guide! When I ordered a scooter, I thought I was only getting a set of wheels, but what I got was a friend for life! Marlon not only gave me a tour of Manuel Antonio, but also helped me out throughout my entire trip, giving me local restaurants and secret spots to visit. I have had the opportunity to share with Marlon on two occasions. Incredible experience and person, highly recommended for adventure enthusiasts looking to do something different in Manuel Antonio. Marlon starts by giving the basic guidelines on how to ride the scooter and the safety rules, he makes you practice before actually going out on the road. We went to visit a lot of super nice places that I didn't know about in the area, we climbed challenging hills, we passed near the entrance of the national park on some trails and he recommended an excellent place for lunch. Super grateful, I will definitely be back soon.
