Those looking to explore the Spanish coast on motorcycle should pay a visit to Marbella. As the name suggests, it is a genuinely beautiful place and occupies a prime location on the country's world famous Costa del Sol in the Andalusia region. Flying into Marbella, you’ll arrive at Malaga Airport, one of more than 8 international airports in the region, approximately 40 km from the city.
If you hired a motorcycle or hired a scooter, chances are you can have it delivered and waiting for you at the airport. What’s there to do in Marbella? Well, plenty actually.
The main attraction, of course, are the many resort beaches that line the sea front, stretching for miles in both directions. However, there are other things to do too. If you travel to the area, be sure to check out the Old Town.
This part of Marbella dates back hundreds of years, with part of the street pattern the same today as it was in Moorish times. Heading just out of Old Town, and you’ll arrive at Alameda Park. This feels less like a public green space, and more like a private garden.
Groundskeepers operate it to an exceptional standard. If you have time, you might want to travel a few kilometers east to Puerto Banus. This incredible area is upmarket and very similar to the French Riviera.
If you hired a motorcycle, the venturing further afield, you have the whole of Andalusia to explore. Pay a visit to the Alhambra in Granada or travel north to the ancient city of Seville to view its spectacular Cathedral.
